... 26 C with 80%humidity, just walking outside for a few minutes , I turned into a sweaty mess. It took me a few minute to get oriented in the in the city. ... odd! By this point it was about half past five and raining so we made our way back to the hostel. We rested for a little while, and then went to Nando's for dinner. Prehaps it wasn't the most adventurous choice, but it was really tasty – and actually pretty cheap! We then met the others in Reggae bar for a drink before heading back to the hostel for a couple of hours sleep. We set our alarm for 02:45 and I slept like a log. ... Every man on the stalls asking "where you from?", we just kept on browsing. Overall it was a good experience but the smell in some areas was intense! China said its nothing compared to Bangkok. Time to go catch the train.. We went for a walk around Petrona towers and followed a path which lead to a kids park (Best park we had ever seen in our life!) it was like seven parks in one and it was empty.. ... s a bruise you loose. I've never felt so much like Natasha Beddingfield. Dancing away on pub street which was like a headphone party without the headphones (two clubs playing music into the street then you pick what side of the street you're on) I spotted our Aussie Pete, we stole him again for as long as we could. We told him to meet us on a corner to go for dinner the next night where he got asked if he wanted to buy drugs, sex and women. ...
... What a mess we made!!
Other bits of info
Lots of politics in the zoo. Some of them management issues but some to do with zoo activists. We were only allowed to take behind the scenes photos when Harith told us we could but we had to promise not to publish them on Facebook, Blogs etc so the only ones we can show on here are ones we have taken that anyone of the public could take. Zoos in Asia do not have the same standards as western zoos but ...
