Travel Blogs by Travelers Who Stayed at the D'Coconut Lagoon Pulau Lang Tengah

Getting over my JAWS complex!

I'm just back from Pulau (island) Lang Tengah where I stayed at the D'Coconut Lagoon Resort. Lang Tengah island is a picture perfect tropical island: fine white sand, swaying palms, and water that is so clear, it's like swimming in a massive aquarium. The island is covered with virgin rainforest while its sandy, boulder strewn shores are a portal to a breathtaking underwater world. The colour of the water is just magnificent: brilliant interchanging hues of aquamarine, emerald and turquoise. ...

... a.m. - 12:00 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. So that meant as I slept comfortably each night with my fan, at 8:30 a.m. on the dot I would immediately break into a sweat and my sleep was over. <br> Beyond the electricity issues, the beaches were great. They were not crowded at all, the water was crystal clear, and there was not a cloud in the sky for the four days I was there. During the days, I laid around on the ...

Im gonna wrap this up by saying that anyone who has made ...

Pulau Perhentian Day 143 (10th Oct)

Today in PP I decided it was about high time to do some washing as I was down to my last T-shirt, shorts and underpants! I hand washed everything and hung it out to dry after which I thought it would be nice to visit Coral Bay, just a short 10 minute walk from Long beach. Coral Bay is pretty chilled out, the beach is just as nice as long beach but a tad smaller. I met a guy called Simon (from Blackpool) who told me ...

Arrival at the Perhentian Islands and a reunion

... on the beach, each with a big candle on it. We got a few beers but stopped after three each; the **** thing about the Perhentian islands is that beer is still expensive, e.g. we were drinking 330ml cans of Chang (a Thai beer) which were RM9 each, which is just retarded. However, we did get a shisha pipe with apple flavoured tobacco which was rather nice. We stayed out till about 1am then went our separate ways, after making breakfast plans for the next morning.

Beware of Sharks on Land

... half long which means he was probably pretty damn old. It took a good half hour or so to catch up with the animal which got me out of breath pretty quickly. I never in my life ever thought they swam so fast. For being so big and old this turtle swam like a champ but I eventually was able to touch his shell and swim alongside him as he surfaced to get some fresh air. Swimming next to this creature and touching his shell was amazing. It looked like a spaceship cruising in the water ...

... from 12:00-4:00 and 10:00 PM -8:00 AM or something like that. We took it right away, since the price was incredibly cheap and we knew there was a shortage of good places to stay on the island. Almost right off the bat I was wary of the place -- even though we knew it was one of the better places and we even saw our buddies Leann and Amanda there who said it was a decent place to stay, the &#8220;chalet&#8221; was extremely rustic. I&#8217;m talking gaps in the floorboards an ...

Relaxation at the beach

Oh yes the next 5 days we will conquer the white sandy beaches of Pulau Lang Tengah, cool! It is a small island next to the bigger island of Redang. There are only 4 resorts on the island, so not too many people will be there. On Friday morning 4am Daniel, Dina, Riitta, Antti and I started the journey with our eyes barely open. The morning wake up was quite harsh indeed... As the Malaysians want to be always first, they had opened 2 days before the Singaporeans a budget terminal ...
