We lost Wednesday all together on the way back !! We gained a day on the way over though. A very very long flight. Fifteen hours and a quarter, and the cabin is kept dark all the time, so we didn't see daylight ! Slept a bit, and watched a couple of movies. Arrived Hong Kong early ....at 4.20am. Farewell to Australia and catching the plane home via Hong Kong. We spent our last Aussie dollars on tea and postcards and our last phone credit calling our children. We arrived 7 hours later in pouring rain in Hong Kong, glad that the hotel was attached to the airport. We bravely ventured down to Hong Kong Island on the airport train and enjoyed a glimpse of high rise Kowloon at night. Very good Chinese noodles for dinner and back to bed at 1 am Cairns ...

We did the Jungleland boat ride that was cool also. It had elephants, crocodiles, hippos, gorillas, zebras, rhinos, girraffes, warriors and big spiders along the ride. There was a part where a volcano spotted fire out and the water catches on fire. It was rocking the boat and was scary.
