... an older man as well and they were sitting one row apart. I did not really know what to make of all of this. Not much really happened either. There seem to be a lot of hoops to jump through so neither cases were really tried this morning. I guess in the case of the 16 year old it has been going on for a year and the trial has not started. Also just a personal observation both of the perpetrators were white American males. I was a mix of ...

I realize my experiences and culture do not allow for this completely however I am going to try.) So after that bar we head to a different type of bar that has a live band and is on the beach. This bar was a little less in your face about GRO's however they were there. After we talked to the women in that bar we ...

HI everyone, today we went to Arnold's house for lunch. He is one of James's work colleagues and a dear christian. James and he had a lot of fellowship during recess for a couple of days. James told me that Arnold had strong desire to pursue the Lord. James told him about Watchman Nee and gave LSM website address to him.
We met his wife, Rachel and two sons. their names are Nicorshi and ...
Today we were going to go to Tree Top Adventure with Lucy and Parousia. It was very hot day. We went on the canopy ride. I went with Parousia and a guide named Ricky. We were more than hundred feet up and we went from tree to tree. We had gear and a helmet. Ricky said that one of the trees was used to make toothpicks, matches and chopsticks. It took forty five minutes.
Then we got back and I and Parousia ...
... When it wasn't raining it was so hot it was hard to do anything. We often would just sit and sweat through our clothes! However the rain caused more problems. At one point we had to be evacuated from our training site because there was waist deep floods and peace corps did not think we were safe. Nobody else seemed that worried. The Philippinos here are very resiliant. They figure that rain and floods are a part of life and what is the sense of worrying ...
Balanga, Bataan, Philippines karey42... and Lisa waited around outside to see if the ceremony was over. Two or three minutes later, some of the men that were sitting outside of the home started talking with Lisa and soon she invited into the house. She had to walk through a long hallway and eventually saw a group of about twenty people (including children) that had gathered in one small room where they were washing off the participants with buckets of water. The red water was everywhere ...
Angeles, Luzon, Philippines aaronpolarbear... where we lived in the countryside towards the sea where they sell lots of seafish. Driving in the Philippines was crazy - the other drivers squeeze into any gap they can, don't have any rules on the road etc. What was most scary is that you're allowed to overtake in the other lane where there is oncoing traffic. So sometimes you'd get a huge truck in your lane driving straight towards you at great speed and only ...
Angeles, Philippines kimharaldroger... Stayed at La Case Pension. Which is a good priced option. Think it was kinda like a home. But had my own bathroom. Called my hotel in Manila who ammended my booking and they gave me advice on how to get transport to Manila.
I decided to spend one night in Clark and then stay at an aussie owned hotel in Angeles (neighbouring town). I must admit I did have the most deepest sleep on my ...

This has hit all PCV's hard but especially hard for those that knew her as Tracy and so many others did. We arrived last night and had a group discussion with many Peace Corps Philippines staff and a representative from the Special Services Office from DC Headquarters. While the ...
