      ... After the cafe we did a little more shopping, stopped for a small pastry, and then made our way back to the subway station to head back. Once the sun went down the town got much colder. I need to remember my Colorado survival ways of dressing warmly in layers. Subway ride was a quick 8 stops and easy to navigate.       Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

      ... in evening with lots people strolling on Sunday arvo. Brand name stores - didn't see a department store. Bread salad cheese and bottle wine for picnic in room for dinner. Wine a bit sweet but otherwise good. Didn't sleep well- woke at aussie time (which is midnight in Milan). Still a bit jet lagged I guess. Milan ok- just another city from what I saw.
