This was the day I had been waiting for. It was roller coaster day! Okay yes I'm 19 and have never been on one but i think now I'm ready and it was time to try. ... the big red signs. All it really means is that there is no lifeguard to help you if you decide to wade into the behemoth waves. And the waves? They are big. And fast. Each one crashes down on the back of another. I walked quite high along the beach and even I got caught out from time to time as huge washes of water battered past my legs. ... three of us wasted no time in heading straight to the beach to write out our own names in gigantic letters. The drier sand towards the town was so hot that it burned our feet. We returned to the observation deck of the Q1 to survey our handy work and to enjoy a drink. The rest of our early afternoon in Surfers Paradise was spent visiting Sam's new place of work and enjoying a buffet feast in a Hare Krishna restaurant that he recommended. - magic wallets (beyond the novelty, I can't imagine actually using one)
- a guy selling cheese at deep discounts (the kraft slices in his bin were a bit of marketing turnoff)

- a full selection of big bang theory shirts (I almost bought one)

... back to the hotel to pass out in our own individual queen size beds with a movie and…another bottle of wine (which thankfully for our own sakes, didn’t get opened but stayed chilled in the fridge for another silly day!).
Following morning consisted of laying in bed being lazy girls in front of the TV until we had to check-out, followed by a breakfast (well lunch) at the lovely beach front café on the promenade which had hefty portions for a ...
