      ... only 5 Kms from the hilton that we booked in Surfers paradise. We came to another standstill. Sandy suggested rat running and I suggested murder. Both didn't happen. But it was close for both. We arrived and were upgraded to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the beach. Sandy was happy as we had a big bathroom and good bed. We attended the executive club for free drinks and some snacks, went for a walk and crashed ...

      ... and all decided that after looking at the terrible faces we all pulled on the rides that the superman was by far the best one there (along with Caity's roadrunner roller coaster). We got back to the hotel in time to have a nice arvo drink while we decided on plans for dinner, and thought a nice walk into the main strip to have dinner at Hard Rock Cafe for Charlene's last night with us would be good. We all had the hugest meals and were so glad for the walk home afterwards ...

      ... ears and the other doesn't, as I'd always thought, but that one has a single layer of fur whilst the other has a double layer of fur! I was surprised by just how different they all felt. The first, and largest, a Californian sea lion, was really course to touch. The second was a lot smoother and the third was exceptionally soft due to the natural oils its skin secretes.       ... were listening to music and drinking in the pool. We hung out here for a few hours then got a cab back for the crawl tonight.

      I got the nickname Sheldon for doing maths (both Wills found it great fun telling people how smart I was) I didn't want to tell them they were wrong as it boded well for me.

      ... driving experience show, the smell of burning rubber is the only word I can use to describe this show. Fantastic!! Scooby coo was our 1st roller coaster of the day, which we thought was actually a children's ghost train. :-) lol Giving the fact that Jamie doesn't/didn't do fast rides we we're both very surprised that our seat suddenly started accelerating a full spread around the track!!! ...
