... it got too hot, the next morning, but in reality we didn't get out the door until after 10am, which is when the hotel stopped serving breakfast. It was also Sunday, so nothing was open. We went for a walk along the Venetian wall and hopped down, when we saw a place open, to grab an iced coffee and some doughnuts. 4 OCTOBER 2012 - This morning wasn’t a great one for me unfortunately had no sleep as Troy was snoring so loud all night. We didn’t order room service for breakfast so we went to the restaurant. We sat at a table near the pool overlooking the caldera, beautiful. Breakfast is just delicious, very good quality food and all so good. We were ...

... strong winds that start in October. It's already very windy, so it must get pretty harsh. Apparantly that's when all the shops close up and the tourist season ends.

I'd forgotten what was included in the tour by the time this trip came around, was wasn't quite prepared for the hike up the volcano to the top which was about 1 1/2 kms up some very rocky terrain. Considering I'd just completed the Samaria Gorge hike only two days before, my calves ...
