... a place to eat now... A place that served food and bar drinks, plus had to be kid friendly. Ugh Finally found a place, took forever to get seated and organized upstairs. By the time we had left the one place and got to the new place it was about 30 min later and some of the group was more focused on ordering drinks and getting tanked, rather than food which was the whole point. Another 20 min has passed by the time they actually came to take my order! As ...

Recommendation: You either enjoy staying away from the touristy places – then this is a nice area to visit. Or you don’t like such places, then you better head to Ben Tre or My Tho. If you do, enjoy walking and cycling around this area. It is a great experience – even if you arrive here because you couldn’t bother checking a map – but sometimes this leads to the best experiences.

Dinner was quite a spread, with traditional Vietnamese pancakes to start, followed by do it yourself fresh fish spring rolls. The only person able to speak English in the village we stayed in was a very cheeky 12 year old boy called Kin. He provided some great conversation and entertainment for the evening, although he did love playing Angry Birds on ...

... and I had a Sampaan to ourselves while the other 3 went on one together. It was so peaceful on this cute little boat, we saw them in Halong Bay, and during out ride out to the market. The lady that owned the Sampaan we were on gave us a Non La to wear. Lush. All too soon the creek opened up and we had to say goodbye to sampaan lady and get on the big boat. On the way back, we stopped at a candy making factory, and was shown how ...
