... a place to eat now... A place that served food and bar drinks, plus had to be kid friendly. Ugh Finally found a place, took forever to get seated and organized upstairs. By the time we had left the one place and got to the new place it was about 30 min later and some of the group was more focused on ordering drinks and getting tanked, rather than food which was the whole point. Another 20 min has passed by the time they actually came to take my order! As ...

Another boat came by us who was selling fresh pineapple and cutting it in the fancy spiral pattern. We were in idle for a little bit with this boat, One of the adoptees (Toby) climbed aboard their 'pineapple express' boat... Lol She attempted to cut a pineapple but wasn't as successful. ... ride thanks to the busy morning traffic I just arrived on time to get the 10am bus. The ticket was 75,000 Dong.

The journey to Ben Tre was uneventful, it was nice to see the scenery changing as soon we left HCMC, then I saw the Mekong for the first time in Vietnam – it was the fourth country I managed to see the Mekong.
Instead of getting into the centre of Ben Tre I got off at the bus station, as I had to take a local bus to Cho Lach, as the homestay ...

... in Can Tho to follow a non English speaking Vietnamese man. So off we all went, in the pitch black, no idea where or what we would be walking into. A good 20 minutes later, having walked along tiny paths, past huts and small homes, over streams, and passing by many barking dogs, we eventually arrived at our home stay. We imagined a home stay to be what it says, the two of us staying with a Vietnamese family in their home...but all sixteen of us sat ...
