Michelle left early in the morning. We then got breakfast at the neighborhood Pho shop. I'm not one to really like noodle soup for breakfast but it's growing on me. We were planning on renting motorbikes for a few days and driving them south to the Mekong delta. We got our bikes and affixed our packs to the back of them. Our first stop was this small town called My Tho. It was a two hour drive but we took it slow. ...

It was like a nightmare version of one of those TV contests: "Can Tho's Got Talent" but with the Vietnamese southern "cai luong" flavor. Excellent trip so far and more Me Kong touring ...

We clamber onboard this little dug-out with an outboard motor. The boat departs and we head off into the dark, there are a few other vessels navigating the river, however visibility is pretty much zero and as we have no light onboard the journey is a little hairy at first. I prey the boatman ...

    Tan Chau to Sa Dec

This morning, we took a boat ride to a local fish farm. Over here, the fish farm is under a floating house, and the actual water is 3 to 4m deep netted under the house. While the fish they farm can grow to 4kg in size, they sell the fish when they are 1kg in size as it takes a lot of extra food and time to grow them to 4kg. We then walked to a mat factory to see how the grass mats were made. We then were driven to a silk factory on a rickshaw. This was a ...
