... internal assessment (quizzes, work in-between exams) here, mainly a midterm and a final. 80% is an A but the failure rate is higher.

On Wednesday night, saw Bruno. I will just say that I couldn't see half of the movie because my eyes were full of tears from laughing.
Thursday, went to Sandfly Bay and saw sea lions and yellow-eyed penguins (the rarest penguins in the world). The proportions of the landscape were ...
Dunedin, New Zealand sps5032... so he walks with us to find them and we find one!! it's huge!!... we get sop close to it, only a few metres away, but not for long as it wakes up and starts charging at us!!.. pretty funny sight... us chased by a Sea Lion! I'd never seen a Sea Lion in the wild before, it was pretty special and impressive. Along the way to Dunedin we also see seals, some people saw penguins (I took a picture of a ...
Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand kikiblogtrot... and the Captain Scott Memorial (not pleased to find a car park at the top of both!). This is also the port, from where Captain Scott set sail on his South Pole conquering expedition. Last night, we went to the Fortuna Theatre - a small converted church, where we watched the play 'Duets' - a comedy about love, relationships and why the grass is not always greener. This was easy to relate too! Leaving for Christchurch today.
Dunedin, New Zealand janice40... We drank champagne in the sun and met yet more friends and family. It was a lovely evening, except for when Stu got roped into driving everyone home (taxis were more expensive than we had anticipated) so missed most of it picking up the car! On the Friday, everyone was occupied with the wedding rehearsal and last minute jobs so the two of us headed into Dunedin to sort a few things out (haircut, internet etc) then treated ourselves to lunch at the Speight's ...
Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand rachandstuWhat a nice break this town was. It had good coffee for a start and the steepest hill in the world or something. Anyway, our van wasn´t going to make it. We ended up visiting the Albatross centre. I´ve never seen an Albatross before so this was pretty good. They have a wingspan of over 3m, and they spend nearly their whole lives at sea. They don´t share food which is something Paul related to. Then off to Oamaru, a town lost in time...
Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand sainty1... were (eg in the sea, in the dunes, on the rocks etc). For the first five or ten minutes, I didn't see anything, and was beginning to feel very sad at my non-sea-lion-sight, then all of a sudden... was that a little black whiskery head? It was! Got so excited at the thought of capturing sea lions on film that I ran absent-mindedly towards them (still quite far away, of course, am not utter moron, but wanted to give my zoom lens the best chance to actually catch ...
Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand suzloua... Gorge, which, surprisingly, is not in our Lonely Planet guide but which is absolutely stunning. Anyway, so off we pulled into the narrow, snakey, tarmaced road bordered by tall bushes on one side and a hysteria-inducing vista of rolling hills with grazing sheep, dotted farmhouses and distant shadows of snow-capped mountains. Just never-ending beauty. After a while of gliding through deep mountain-cleavages of mustard yellow gorse and wild white lillies, we came to ...
Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand mrsdp...
Dunedin, New Zealand slumber... scrambled to put my foot rest down and then gasped, tears flooding down my face from the stingingly cold wind (and maybe a touch of emotion too!) as I flew- just like a bird! A big bird strapped to a large metal frame, but proper flying all the same. We circled around and saw animals from really high up. I got to hold the frame and pretend to steer, squealed when the pilot started to dive and scraped right along the top of the fence and over the grass tips ...
Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand beka... up supposedly the steepest street in the world. While I can’t attest to the truth of that assertion what I can say is I had to put the car down into first gear to get to the top of it. South of the city the beaches of St. Clair and St. Kilda were providing a good swell and a surprisingly large number of surfers were out in the line-up. I’m sure the water down here doesn’t get close to warm until at least January so I stayed within the comfortable confines ...
