Caught the train from Helsinki to Turku which only took about two hours. They have very nice trains. Easy city to navigate. I'm going to check out the harbour and book a spot on one of the ferries heading for ALands. Unfortunately I can't go today because the ferries only depart at 0815 and 2015. So I'm staying in Turku today which is fine because I forgot that I wanted to see the castle. Now I'm just waiting for the hostel to open so I can drop my bag off. It's getting lighter every day.<br>

... is a medieval architectural museum. It is built around some early medieval buildings that are still being excavated. The excavations are of limited interest by themselves but the museum has done an exceptional job relating life during this period to those excavations. Olemme jo muutaman kuukauden ajan suunnitelleet Mikan kanssa matkaa Vaasaan. Mikalla on sinne asiaa työn puolesta ja minusta taas on ihan mukava käydä morjestamassa pikkuveljeä ja hänen tyttöystäväänsä. Arto ja emilia ovat muuttaneet Vaasaan noin kuukausi sitten, kun emilia pääsi opiskelemaan Vaasan kauppakorkeakouluun. Saavuimme Suomen kamaralle maanantaina aikaisin aamulla. Käväisimme lyhyesti Yläneellä ja Nakkilassa ja sitten suuntasimme Saloon. Joudumme muuttamaan Salosta kolmas päivä maaliskuuta, joten edessä oli tavaroiden kasaus ja siivoaminen. Olimme Sotkamossa hiihtämässä, kun ystävämme Kalle Kaukonen soitti meille. Kalle järjestää joka vuosi laskettelureissun Keski-Eurooppaan ja pyytelee meitäkin mukaan joka kerta. Vuonna 2004 olimme viikon verran Kaukonen-Tourin matkalla Meribelissä ja reissu oli oikein mukava. Tänä vuonna olimme ajatelleet jättä reissun väliin Mikan korvaongelmien ja rahapulan takia.
