    ... into Saariselka (KKK national park) led by Seppo Penttinen and Mikko Pehkonen. Since then Gwyneth has moved here, settled and married a Fin, has a son and works in a Finnish school. And I enjoyed many treks with Seppo and Mikko from the University of Lapland, twelve in all, into different parts of the Finnish wilderness on foot and at times by canoe.     ... pool is actually IMMENSELY therapeutic and I can now see why its so popular over here. I admit it was only the sauna at the hotel so it wasn't a proper outdoor one or anything that but boy was it relaxing! Now the next trick is find a genuine outdoor smoke-sauna, with beer!

    My training has been going appallingly so I decided to go for a run round one of the bits of the lake here in Jyvaskyla. I would heartily recommend it, its peaceful, clean, safe and not too far at about 9-10km all the way around. I'm unfit though, so it hurt a lot. Still the views were sensational and its something I'll be doing a lot while I'm here.

    ... It's either free and good, or costs a bit and definitely worth it. Especially if it is your kind of thing.

    B - If you are really into this then give if it a go and you'll love it. If not then its still pretty good to do, but definitely not on the "cannot be missed"

    C - Meh. If you've got nothing else to do then might as well. Not great but not the worst thing in the world

    D - Don't bother. Just not worth it
