Cumulus Jyväskylä

Today we went to Jyvaskyla (which we named J-town for simplicity). That really is about all there is to report as it was a long day of driving along straight, tree lined roads. Highlights include watching Team America on the bus, and kicking a soccer ball around at a petrol station during a driver break.<br>

... br>Friday was a great lazy day and also the last day for most people in the summer school <br>program. We pretty much just spent the day walking around campus, eating our last caf <br>lunches, buying souvenirs and taking lots of pictures all over the city. It was really <br>difficult to say all of the goodbyes again, this time to just about everyone except for <br>Kayi, Jessica, Jamar and I who were leaving on Sunday night.<br><br>More on my trip later!<br>

... loved them. <br>The next day we had a "pub crawl" but it was actually more of a pub tour haha. We met in front of the library and walked over to Harju in the city centre of Jyväskylä. In essence it is like a large hill of forest in the heart of the city with a very tall clock tower you can go up and get a panoramic view of the city, I am pretty sure i talked about going here in my last entry. ... shopping Jyväskylä has to offer and we also went to the top of this tower that over looks the entire city, so I got some great panoramic shots there!<br><br><br>On Saturday there was a nice canoeing trip planned, but I was just way too tired and jet lagged (still) for that so I decided to skip, since we do have lots of canoeing oppurtunities back home anyways. I just spent the day outside in the sunshine catching up on some homework, reading ...

... quite a lot. Once I finally came back from my last trip, I was exhausted and didn't do anything but plan my year end trip (because I was done school at that point. I ended April 7th) One this is for sure, I don't foresee me becoming a travel agent anytime soon. There are just so many possibilities, that I have a really hard time selecting one thing. ... that red vine **** ain't licorice. We enjoyed a nice dinner, prepared by our president's personal chef and then the real fun began. The boys split up into three teams for a paint ball contest. I was a spectator for the 'war games' thank God, but they all had a ball running through the pine forest trying to capture the opponent's flag without getting 'painted'. ... alone amidst 60,000 Finlanders. Post script: we scored on seven of our eleven possessions Vs the Crocks but lost a heartbreaker at Seinajoki 48-50. Getting closer. I'm hopefull we'll get over the hump this season and begin winning the close ones. The kids have a great work ethic and a pride in their performance. I trust them to work hard and they do.
