Reminds me a lot of Southampton.. with a Pier! lol

Bournemouth has a very funny layout.. the two main streets of the town go up both sides of the hills that lead down to the park and eventually to the famous Pier.

I was a bit down in the dumps this day.. I think because I was watching all the families and couples having some fun. It was mid term break so there were heaps of kids around and the entrance to the Pier was packed with amusements and ...

A cute stopover

... a lot to see when your on them.

So we decided on a next stop as Lyme Regis on the South Coast to break up our journey back to London. It's a nice place at the start of the Jurassic Coast which we did not have time to explore. Kim impressively went for a morning run even though it was rainy and windy and I stayed tucked up in bed!

Weekend in Caravan...

... we went into the club. Where they were just finishing off the kids club show. We had a three piece singing group and then two comedians. I think the entertainment startedabout 9 and went through till about 1. In the club they had a kids amusement centre, with pool tables, dance machines and arcade games.. we went through a lot of 2p coins than night!! I was really surprised at the amount of entertainment there. A lot of fun for a big kid like me!!

Leaving Art & Thurza

... I went to the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford, great few hours including a smashing lunch and back to Yeovil to pick up the ladies at the appointed time of 3.30 pm.

Tuesday dawned rather foggy and overcast, probably our worst day yet. Lona wanted to go to Lyme Regis to find a model dog for Kim. One time we were here before we bought her a Boxer, so this time Lona wanted Schnauzer, to no avail, there were none ...

The Naked Bus

... bar (to go on the bus), looked after the sprog and organised stuff. Paint is causing a bit of an issue at the moment. not as much of an issue as the bloody DVLA, but an issue. I think I have a source, which I'm working on. Alas, it seems people aren't as urgent about giving stuff away as they are about needing it. I'm sure it will arrive soon, it's just a question of patience. I had Monday and Tuesday off work. I hate nights, so it was no skin ...

... br>
Since that visit we have always dreamed that we would one day return, hopefully more able to avail ourselves of the different forms of transport. During those years a chap came into my little shop and chatted about having lived in Switzerland and about what we had missed! He invited me to borrow his videos showing the Swiss Railways systems in all their glory. From then on we were compelled one day to go back !

So this is the travelog of our return to Switzerland ...

Seaman Training Days

... So I could catch a later train but still lie on the beach for a while. Today was basic: Food Hygiene, which went fast and well we finished earlier than normally so I sat down on the beach with a couple of the training colleagues and we talked. I tried to 'enroll' some people into HC/CS philosophy, but it doesn't seems to work at all. It was another warm and sunny day, but there is no way I manage a tan anyway. So I finally came back home with the train that I ...
