The hotel was part of our tour package, located very close to The Forbidden City. The location was the best part to help limit travel time. Considered a 4 star, but probably a 3 star by U.S. standards. Clean. Warm. Acceptable breakfast, but mainly Asian style "western" food. Typical stiff bed, small rooms. Internet additional charge. Wifi only in lobby. Older hotel. Got the job done.

I did not write about yesterday's guide as I was very unhappy, very angry infact. It was so bad I cut it short claiming my knee hurt. When we got back to the hotel I just got out of the car and walked away. This was why I was pleased at how much I enjoyed the evening.

There is a lovely local park so I went to sit a while as it is so warm. First of all there were a group of ladies doing the Chinese …

... wife's handbag everywhere. Wag's is still refusing to conform to this custom. Hmph.

    4. Bushman's hankies are the in thing.
    5. All garbage is disposed of down the drain. Which is the cause of many a bad smell I can tell you.

    6. Stray dogs are everywhere. Well, we figure some are not stray as I don't think they dress themselves in booties and little puffa jackets.

That's all I can think of right now. More later, I'm sure.

    Love to all x
