... the sun beating down on it.

San Vicente looks like a lovely little town, so it's a shame we won't be able to see more of it, but we're making as much progress as we can while the wind's in our favour. Our fridge isn't working at the moment, so we're hot-footing it to A Coruna as quickly as we can so we can get it fixed. Besides, the weather will improve still further once we round the north west corner of Spain.

... as every time we turned a corner it turned with us so it was constantly right on our nose. However, the fog we ran into after two hours was the real problem. At first we thought it was just low-lying cloud, but as we got closer and it loomed larger and larger like a loomy thing we could see it skimming along the coast, moving quickly towards us, and it quickly became clear we were about to sail right into thick fog. This was definitely not what we wanted. It was our first experience of fog ...

Another great beach day

It was forecast for rain in the afternoon so we went out and enjoyed the morning before the storm. There were much less people out and about now it is Monday. We explored new paths to the beaches, a new coffee shop, a new picnic spot on the beach and had a great morning in the sun.
The afternoon was less fun, sitting near the laundry while we charged our devices and tried to plan our next leg of the trip. We are hoping to get to Lisbon tomorrow...but who ...

... and statues. There was one beach which had a slippery dip in order to get down to the beach from the jetty wall, and people everywhere eating all colours of ice cream.
We ended our day with a delicious dinner at a restaurant as a birthday celebration gift thanks to Jen and Greg. It was great! The waiter was super young and couldn't speak any English, so we had fun with him, hand signals and facial expressions were used to order what we wanted and to pay at the ...

... head phones so you could listen to the radio, and we all got a gift when we got off. Northern Spain is BEAUTIFUL!!! It's so green and lush. The lollies are also delicious....but the country side is stunning. The drive up the coast line was great. Clear blue ocean, dark cliff faces, lush green vegetation which was so dense that the mountains looked like heads of broccoli. There were sheep everywhere, and it was obvious we had left France ...
