      ... generally being extremely grateful that I was able to share this with not only my own little family, but the hosts of the home which we rented, and amazing friends Christel and Richard who joined us that afternoon.

      ... is pretty good! On the other side of the lake (about an hour later) we were reunited with Andreas and the bus for the climb up to Engelberg. A pretty hairy drive, with lots of hairpin turns and breathtaking vistas. Engelberg is a very quaint town high up in the alps. We checked into our hotel, the family owned Hotel Schweizerhof.       Donnie could **********tain his excitement as we departed grindelwald on the narrow gauge railway up the eiger. Unfortunatley due to the snow the views weren't great but it was easy to see how the eiger has its reputation of the greatest mountaineering challenges in the alps.
