As I was writing this story I kept misspelling Disentis with Dementis now there could well be something in that as catching the Glacier Express to the Swiss ski resort area of Disentis with our tandem could well be a demented aspiration. We'd slept in waking at 7:00. Our itinerary started with a train trip from Chur to the spa resort of Muster in Disentis. Our goal of riding the Rhine from near its source starts here some 1,130 metres above sea level. ...

... were spent taking pictures; it was really hard to do it justice, but we tried. We returned the same way in much less time and emerged blinking in the sunlight like a pair of cave creatures. Our ticket for the gorge (CHF15, about €12) also allowed us to use the funicular railway at Reichenbach Falls so we headed off there next.

    Mt Stanserhorn

Located on the north side of the Swiss Alps, the height of Mt Stanserhorn is 1'898 meters above sea level. Mt Stanserhorn is overlooking Lake Lucerne Switzerland and provides on top a unique panoramic view of the Swiss Alps. There are higher mountains near Mt Stanserhorn like Mt Pilatus and Mt Titlis, but on none of them a visitor can enjoy such a great 360° stunning panorama!
