The Burj Al hotel took me at least 10 min in a taxi to get to from that camel checkpoint. I would have collapsed from heat exhaustion by them. About 1am, we found ourselves in a Karaoke bar called Harry Ghatto's, my friend absolutely owned Karaoke that night, but if you go looking for it, its hard to come by, its inside of the giant malls here and its just a single door in....

The following day..... well that was spent recovering...... And out check the "taxi" that took me to the cinema last night.

... of the most incredible things I've ever done. I switched back and forth between taking pictures of the dunes and just enjoying the ride. There was a path to follow, but with the shifting sand, it was never a smooth ride. At times, the sand was right next to my window because the vehicle was tilted so much. We went up, and down, and sideways but never straight. Needless to say, I was eating ginger like there was no tomorrow. For those of you who know me well and my tendancy to get ...
