... when we walked up to the light house we managed to take a wrong path and we couldn't face a huge sand dune ahead of us so the 3 of us ventured through some bushes and scrambled up some rocks... This involved giving each other footers up and dragging the last person up which was normally Charlotte!... Reminded us of "hands and knees, hands and knees" when we used to scramble as kids in Wales..... Brought back some funny memories.... Thought you ...
... than the Blue Mountain link train the guide books tell you to get. It takes a couple of hours but it is a nice relaxed journey with no changes.
If you were a fit and healthy individual and you got up to Katoomba at the break of dawn you could reach all the points of interest on foot. I however arrived about 12pm and am most definitely not in the fit and healthy category so I purchased a hop-on hop-off bus ticket, I went for the cheapest company (the trolley bus shoppe) ...
... area, I quickly walked round the boardwalk as quickly as I could before ascending the Furber steps back up the mountain. This was my favourite part of the walk with beautiful views and waterfalls along the way. I then took the cliff top walk, including some detours back to my start point and rewarded myself for my five hour walk with hand made chocolates. Thursday 22nd I caught the bus to Wentworth falls to complete Wentworth Falls, Valley ...
... and dark. The local noodle bar was the dinner choice.. The Emma insisted we went into the " charming old pub" for a drink... . So in total... 7.5 hours traveling and we made a grand total of 290km. What a **** day. We really need to make up some distance tomorrow.. Otherwise we are not going to get to Bluesfest in enough time to get a good tent site of maybe even miss some of the bands. So with that thought I'm going to turn in and get some ...
