    Great Falls and Glacier

... the time we had gained driving down so we were thinking we would get to Glacier NP after 5:00. We would not be able to get our book stamped. Alas, I had the southeastern border in the GPS. We made it in plenty of time and the Visitor Center was open until 7:00 PM. Glacier is a very pretty park. We could only see part of it since Vern is too long. We thought about taking the bus, but it was going to be 2.5 hours. We decided to drive ...

There was a thunderstorm during the night and in the morning I had to let everything dry in the sun before I could pack. The ride to Lincoln was just as pleasant as the previous day for the first 25 miles. There was a long and steep climb up to Roger's Pass and the Continental Divide. It was a gain of 2000 feet in elevation and would be hard enough if I weren't carrying 50 extra pounds ...

    ... hydroelectric power.
We pass through some amazing rolling Montana landscapes as we head north. The test sections provide a few more penalty points as we still have not perfected the braking technique when approaching the time controls. A lone cowboy with horse and dog block the way for a short time - he reluctantly moves aside not knowing that there are another 40 or so cars to come on that section of road.
    We sense that ...

... I can’t wait to be able to spend more time in Barcelona and Spain altogether. Switzerland was absolutely beautiful. Our train ride to the top of the Jungfraujoch and canyoning Grimsel canyon showed the best of what this country had to offer. The downside to this country was the hefty price tag for our stay there. We are still wondering how we blew through so much of our money throughout our visit there. ...
