... be eating up a storm ! The usual Japanese meal consists of small portions of a variety of food including a soup which is eaten in no particular order at all. We pointed to our choices and the lady who took our order (obviously the owner) delighted in trying to converse with us in basic Japanese which we didn’t understand at all and could only reply using lots of facial expression (smiles for yes and turned up nose for no) and lots of bowing of heads.
