... some stairs, keep walking straight and you'll see a sign that says 'walk' or something equally self-explanatory and once you've wandered down a few more flights of stairs you'll find yourself on the causeway bridge. The causeway itself is about 1.2km long and if you walk it, it's best to do it first thing before it starts getting too hot. The pavement starts reasonably generous in width. About halfway across that changes and you ...

... Peranakan Culture is awesome. However my trip did not start in particularly glamorous fashion. My flight out of London had to make an emergency landing in Munich as a man on board had a heart attack. A tad inconvenient I'm sure the bloke didn't mean it. We even made the mail online. We had read that one could spend days here exploring. At first blush we found it to be fine but ...

... amazing, you look out over the water and there's all the skyscrapers and the Fullerton hotel over the other side, and then the massive hotel towering behind you, all illuminated with various LED colours - not in a tacky Las Vegas way, just enough to make it look cool. Beneath the big hotel is a fantastic shopping mall, filled with high-end shops and eateries - think of a shopping centre with nothing but the likes of Hermes and Gucci... Then add ...

... surprises we found more kidney beans and we all stopped eating. It was hilarious though.

We continued on our tour of Singapore to Becky's choice of destination - Raffles Hotel. She wanted to drink Singapore Slings at The Long Bar at Raffles Hotel where the drink was made famous. I was a bit sceptical as this is not usually my thing but it was brilliant! We sat down at a table and were given a big bowl of monkey nuts. Becky had said someone had told her that you could eat ...
