... the beach. Again. we wished them well and told them about our favorite haunts in Singapore. They told us they booked one night in the Marina Bay Hotel, the iconic three building structure with the roof-top swimming pool.

With their visa issue resolved but for a later day, we said good-bye on our way out on Wednesday morning. We exchanged e-mail addresses and I gave the web site for my travel blog.

... but when the sun comes out its bloody boiling which is lovely although I am rubbish at sunbathing these days, half an hour on the beach and I’m fighting people for a spot of shade under a tree. The actual town is a bit odd, quite developed and touristy but still quite run down and rough around the edges.
