      ... up to the 15th floor it was an awesome rooftop bar literally at the foot of the Empire State Building. Had a couple of cocktails - a Manhattan and a Campari. Ended up cabbing it home at about midnight. We are currently riding the subway into NYC again - going to see Central Park, 911 museum and going to what Chris says is an awesome BBQ place in Times Square. More to ...

      ... how in such a big city like New York people meet each other. Both Sandra and Christina said that there is so much to do here that a lot of people join like a group like a running group or a book club and meet other people that way. It was so interesting to hear that people are actually very social here and are open to new comers. Back home a lot of people have their set clicks and hang out in them never really expanding out of that.

      ... as we headed for Barnes and Noble, the emminent bookshop. We weren't overly impressed - Borders used to be better - so we set out again for the Chrysler Building, via Grand Central Station. This was a very Deco part of town; Grand Central was very swish, a great contrast to Penn Station where we arrived in New York.
      We passed on to the Chrysler Building, classic Art Deco, where you are only allowed to visit the foyer [ security reasons, since 9/11].

      It is SO beautifully ...

      ... From the looks of the outside I could see no trail but after talking to the ranger, turns out the hike is right behind the visitors center!

      It's a small place- the trail was only 2 miles but it was a beautiful place. I'm not into birds but if you are a bird watcher then this is the perfect place to be. There are all sorts of birds all up in this place. The views change as you walk and it gets better with every step you take. Go for a quiet walk, watch ...
