Amsterdam is by far the coolest city I've ever been to. After almost missing our train stop from the screwy change in time zones, we finally met up with Kyla and Jo at Centraal Station. The houseboat "Minties" was not too far away where we... stayed on a houseboat!

Getting in early meant we had the entire day to enjoy, so we hopped on our bikes and sped off into the city. ...

    ... weeks.

Tomorrow we take ('‘the A train…) A as in Amsterdam, where we will spend our last official night in Europe before leaving in the morning for our return flight from Schipol. Our plane is estimated to depart in the early afternoon and we look forward to seeing our friends, family, house, dog, neighbourhood and other familiar people and sights when we return - hopefully not too jet lagged. Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and we hope to see you soon!

... We gobbled up samples of cheese, Dutch style. Mustard on smoked gouda cheese and jelly on some other kind of cheese we had never had before. We walked along the dike checking out the little shops and food stands until we got to the dock. Here we each ordered some tasty fish and chips. Sharon couldn't quite get use to eating them in the traditional way with a big glob of mayonnaise, so ketchup had to suffice. About now is when we noticed that a bird had ...

The flight to Amsterdam was about an 8-hour flight and I got about NO sleep. Delta has the most uncomfortable headrests in the world! Although, the food was not as bad as I was expecting. Just a quick stop in Amsterdam; we got right off the plane and walked to our next gate. We had a bit of a scare because we thought the gate was closing, but we made it on time with no ...
