    We departed Milan about 8:30am for our North Lakes tour (4 days, 3 nights).

    ... the cathedral we visited the museum and then the grand arch (which was actually a huge shopping arcade). I can say huge with some satisfaction since there were binoculars set into the marbled floor at several intervals so that you could better look down the corridors of wealth and power.     ... pinks, rustic reds and pale creams. There are large road tunnels on both sides of the lake, huge gaping holes built into the mountains to allow drivers to wind their way around this big expanse of water.
    WE saw lots of these tiny villages on our way around, we saw large villa's, even a glimpse of where George Clooney is supposed to live. I was surprised that there wasn't more traffic on the water. No speed boats, no kayaks, no water skiers. There was really only a few ...

    ... name a few, 200+ Nationalities live in Dubai, it has over 611 hotels in the city, the new airport DWC will have capacity of 240mln passengers and Emirates has the highest a380 fleet (83 aircrafts). We also learnt that interpersonal relationship is crucial to do business in the UAE and only after several meeting of "hello and hi", you can talk business.

    ... beat her to the loos and they take ages! Who knows what they're doing in there to take so long. While we were waiting an announcement was made to stand behind the yellow line as a train was approaching. The usual thing we thought but then an express absolutely rocketed through the station so fast it felt like we were going to be sucked into its vortex - and we were a good 3 meters from the track!
