... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

We collected a lot of cardboard in Milan and headed for Como, a smaller town on a lake about an hour from Milan. We looked kind of funny carrying our armfuls of cardboard through the train station and in the train. It was a crowded train so we stood in ...

... they knew it back then, but a unique and intriguing pattern from the air. Thanks!

Approaching Pula was cleared to proceed straight to the boundary point between Croatia and Italy, and was soon talking to Venezia control and looking at a waterlogged yet very structured coastline.

Then a couple of hours skirting across the northern Italian countryside, avoiding major airports, under ATC ...

... I knew what it was like to so see the sunshine on this lake from my last trip....in that moment as I looked at the joy on their faces, I was praying that before we leave this place, that they would also see the sun on this lake.
