... is there. The sweep of the Eiffel Tower was as majestic as imagined. I am so impressed by the design of it which dedicates little to ornamentation, with the exception of some scroll work near the ground, yet it still looks so elegant.

We grabbed lunch near the base of the Tower (yes Mike, now that I am off the plane every meal will be described in excruciating detail). I had a crepe with bananas and Nutella. I need the bananas to keep ...

He just made me uneasy, the way he was staring at me. He asked wh**e I had come from and I answ**ed "Washington DC". The look of hatred in his eyes startled me, and he spat "you're full of **** if you're from DC". I hastened to clarify that I wasn't, in fact, from th**e, but I had only been visiting. Richmond, Virginia, United States angelaincanada... br>
Our end cost, all included (including souveniers)for 3 people for 15 days was $8,700.

The plane fair from Richmond to TelAviv was $1,050 per person taxes and fee included. This was after lots of daily checking and buying tickets at almost their low point about 10 wweks out from the trip. I also discovered that, at least with US AIR flights on TH, F, SA were slightly more expensive. By 3 weeks away ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States leafmoldWell we started off right, but we hit lots of traffic on Rt. 95 heading into Mt.Vernon and Richmond. Made a historic pit stop at Mt. Vernon. Pretty impressive place. I almost embarrassed Kristi and had us kicked out for rubbing my face on General Washington's pillow. They take that stuff very seriously nowadays.

Then off to Richmond where we met Ryan and Kelly. First night...hotel...not bad.
We hit ...
Richmond/ Mt. Vernon, Virginia, United States matuszSunday July 26, 2009

Luba and I slept in until about 830am. Bevil and Stewart were, of course, up, dressed and waiting for us. Bevil and Stewart took us to O'Doul’s for breakfast and then afterwards took us to visit the family plot at the Hollywood Cemetery. It was great to see that Luba was actually interested to see where my father and family were buried. After a short ride through Richmond we headed back to the ...

Bumpass VA, Virginia, United States ncraig... I don't remember ever being so scared or screaming out so loud while riding a rollercoaster. Oh, how time has changed.

I would go back only if I went on a Wednesday evening when not many people are there... the waits were just a little too long. There was an online special on top of it being a Saturday morning... that's just a lot of people. Even with a fun group, you kind of get drained and bored by the end.
Doswell, Virginia, United States sojanetFrom Austin, we went back to Virginia to spend a couple more weeks with my mom and Chuck. It was great getting to bookend our trip by spending time with them. Winter was snowy and pretty, then spring was beautiful. We went camping in Virginia, then took a quick trip to Florida (by quick I mean a 13-hour drive followed by an identical return trip a couple of days later). Camping was fun. We made smores. My mom and Lindsey love them some chocolate.

We ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States daneHello everyone! As you might already know, I am spending the fall semester in South Africa. I am doing a community health themed study abroad program with about 20 other students from all over the US. I decided to keep a travel blog while I am gone instead of doing mass emails, so that way you can check as often or as little as you want and at your convenience ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States laurenharden... he stood when he decided to lead the troops of the Confederacy rather than the Union during the Civil War. In the Edgar Allen Poe Museum, you can see his drawings of "The Raven," and on the James River you can ride a paddle-wheeler named "Annabel Lee."
