Indianapolis, Indiana, United States dwolf1... a forum for sharing and support, it reminds us to be aware of the global focus demanded in today's world, and it places in front us multiple models of excellence. Every one of the nurses who were a part of this Convention was there because (s)he wanted to be a part of delivering and improving patient care. Our founding mothers were onto something....."love, courage, honor", yes, we at GW will carry this into the future....here we come!

Anne Muller, Region 12 Coordinator, asked me to describe the Virtual Scholarly Nursing Exhibition that we had last year; many people were impressed with this and NNEPI award that was given to Dr. Johnson and Dr. Dawson.
I am posting a picture of Anne and me and a picture of an old friend, Terri LaMonica. The picture of Terri is to say to all of you that one of ...
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States ckopacLast evening I went to STTI Headquarters. I am really glad that I got to visit the building. There is an incredible sense of "standing on the shoulders" of the great nurses who have come before us. As I walked throughout the buidling and I saw inscriptions, the pavers' wall, the tribute wall and I recognized names of former teachers and authors ...
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States ckopacHello, again! Unfortunately, there will be no more pictures.....at the Tribute Award Luncheon today my camera got wet when someone accidently spilled water at the table. I suspect I will need to purchase a new camera....a little time will tell.....I think the camera's brain was "fried".

Anyway, onto the day.....While there were presentations throughout most of the afternoon, the morning and the noontime luncheon were all about awards. Nursing ...

Indianapolis, Indiana, United States ckopac... checking people in was Jessica Waldorf, a STTI staff member and our "guide" as the Honor Society gets ready to file the Charter Applicaton. I took a picture of Jessica so that we can relate to her a little more personally through the coming months. We plan to meet after registration is over and have a brief discussion about our Chartering process.
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States ckopacHello, everyone! The plane left Dulles airport 30 minutes late and I arrived in Indianapolis after dark (it was also raining and windy). The trip to the hotel was approximately 30 minutes and I had a late dinner while I reviewed the Delegate packet. It's been 12 years since I attended an STTI Biennial Convention and a few things have changed. The organization has gotten ...
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States ckopac... br>
We had travelled a total of at least 4,600 miles; we drove through eleven states in eleven days. We had seen some amazing scenery, fantastic landmarks and tourist attractions, experienced a rollercoaster of emotions and most importantly, made it home in one piece. So much so that we wanted to write a book. Each of us experienced events slightly differently, so it was important that we both wrote and added comments about the others writing.
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States phraortesLeaving on vacation after a full day of work is sometimes not worth the extra effort and the few hours saved. I picked up a rental car at the airport (right near work). I wanted something reasonably sporty, yet with enough room to carry all my stuff. Those of you who know me well know that I am not one for traveling light... Bike, new camera, computer, cables, power inverter, tent, clothes, etc. That poor rental was crammed full!
