Sympathisches Doubletree by Hilton, direkt gegenüber von Sawgrass Mills. Gratis Parken, Pool, gut ausgestattete Zimmer, alles bestens.
Die große Überraschung war das hoteleigene Restaurant - sehr empfehlenswert!

Not bad at all
We stayed for 3 nights in Feb 05. Good rooms, well appointed with good facilities. The outside pool is OK and the outside spa was very comfortable - and hot! The gym is OK but the equipment is starting to show its age. The aerobic machines in particular are creaky!
Good service at reception and good cleaning service. Drinks and ice machine on our floor were very handy.
Only let down was the in-house restaurant/bar (Peytons Place). Breakfast was a disappointment - not as good as other hotels I've stayed in. Also, the evening bar did not have enough staff - they were trying to run the bar and serve table which meant longer than normal waits when busy.
Good access to Sawgrass Mills if you like shopping.
Bahama Breeze restaurant was good value/quality if you like Caribbean food. Book the hotel bus - if you take the number they will also pick you up.
Top notch service
Stayed at this hotel in April for going to a hockey game at the Office Depot Center. Rooms are clean and the service is very good.
One of the nicer hotels to be found in greater Ft. Lauderdale.
Great Place to Stay
My family and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in late August of 2004. I chose this hotel primarily based on the previous reviews and I agree with what the previous travellers have said. This property is very conveniently located and is walking distance to the popular Sawgrass Mill Outlet Mall. The room is well equipped with mini refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, three phones, DVD player and in-room safe. The furnishing is also attractive. The bathroom is spacious with granite countertop. The beds are comfortable. Free internet access is available in the lobby or it's also available in the room if you have your own computer for a charge. Laundry facility is also available. This is definitely a PLUS for a family with young children! The outdoor swimming pool is however quite bland. I'd recommend this hotel to those who are planning to visit the Sawgrass Outlet Mall.
Most Comfortable Hotel Bed EVER
We stayed here on the evening of July 25, 2004. This is a wonderful hotel with perhaps the most relaxing hotel bed I've ever slept in. The lobby is quite attractive, and check in proceeded quickly even though I was 2 hours early. I didn't visit the restaurant onsite, but there is a TGI Friday's next door that had a great lunch special. The location is easy to access with the main entrance located off a smaller street, rather than on the busier divided highway on the other side of the hotel. The hotel is located directly across the street from the enormous Sawgrass Mills Mall complex -- which itself has numerous places to eat. Finally, I really liked the setup with the self-parking garage right next to the hotel. It's easy access to the front door and free (my favorite price!). I was always able to find a spot right near the front -- but I must warn you that when we left on Monday the garage was considerably more crowded as it shares parking with an adjacent office building.
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for one night in early spring. The lobby is lovely and clean. There's a tiny gift shop that actually has some cute things. The restaurant was okay, but the atmosphere seemed closer to a Denny's than a top-draw hotel. The room was very nice however, I requested a non-smoking room and it was obvious that this room had, at one time, been a smoking room because the curtains still had the smell of cigarette smoke. Everything else went well and the staff was courteous and professional. Very convenient access to Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall which is just across the street, and plenty of nearby restaurants, etc. I especially liked the free, garage parking which was a welcome change from most places that charge you to park in their garage. I recommend this hotel.
Very Good Value
Stayed here 21st to 24th Feb 2004.
Excellent hotel for a shopping trip to Miami - you can walk across the street to Sawgrass Mills.
Room was clean and comfortable and had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Plenty of free parking. Lots of restaurants a short driving distance away.
Would definitely stay here again.
Good suburban location
Stayed Jan/04 pre-cruise. Nice , clean, new, everthing you have come to expect from crowne plaza. Had breakfast included in the rate which was a plus. Across the street from sawgrass mills so if shopping is your thing your all set. Only 2 minor drawbacks on our stay. If you want to take a bath forget it. Soap dish is mounted on the rear of the tub so low making it impossible to sit down. Also Crucial wake-up call for early morning flight never came, which was suprising seeeing that this is a business oriented hotel. None the less, I would recommend this property and would stay there again.
Excellent hotel, excellent location for anyone shopping at sawgrass mills. Beautifully appointed, courteous staff and very clean. Absolute value for money.
spent the nite of nov 13 2003, indeed a great place to stay . So conveniently located right across from the Sawgrass mills shopping Mall- Our Room was spacious and very clean, with a large bathroom as well. And the fact it has a microwave, fridge and coffee maker and plus.. makes it a winner hotel. Check-in check-out was a breeze, helpful staff at front desk. I highly recommend this property.
We took a weekend trip to visit some friends and to go shopping at Sawgrass Mills. We usually stay near the beach but since Sawgrass was so far away, we decided to stay closer. The Crowne Plaza was terrific. The whole experience was great, from check in to check out. The room was very nice and the added touch of a goodie basket with a note thanking us for staying with them was high class. Most hotels don't add the extra touch, especially one that was under $100 a night. The hotel and room was very clean. And the best part, it's right across the street from the Mall. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Crowne Plaza in Sunrise. I can't wait to go back in a few months.

... Cruise #2, we were lucky enough to meet up with the naturalist on board that gave lectures who had suggested a day trip to Lake Chungara with a snow capped volcano. What a great day with some beautiful pictures. But Machu Picchu is waiting. Next port is Lima and we are off to the airport for our 3 day trek to Machu Picchu. Cusco was the center of the Inca world and all roads(trails) led there and that is where we started our journey. ...
... Highway 41, We didn't see one right away, but kept heading west and ran into the Miccosukee Indian Casino. They had a 10 story high-rise hotel and we were ready to stop.
The Miccosukee Casino and Hotel is pretty much the same as any other Indian Casino, with a buffet, a snack bar, a nice restaurant and a million slot machines. They had a room available so we took it and went up to make sure we liked it. Went back ...
... arrived at the trailhead a little before 9. We were very happy that we got there as early as we did, due to the fact that parking was already at a minimum. The trailhead starts at the White River campground and gradually ascends up towards the glacier basin. Mt. Rainier is home to 26 glaciers and we had phenomenal views of the Emmons glacier, which, according to the newspaper article, is the largest glacier in the lower 48! The hike started through an area of forest ...
... I jump back up and go back to the doctor, a young baby faced hosptialist on her way to a medical clinic in S. America and asked how Lady Turquoise was. They were trying to get a blood pressure on her and one of the nurses said "wish I knew how to start an IV" and I knew I was screwed.
I suggested to the doctor that we might want to elevate Lady Turquoise's feet and she looked at and asked "How?" As I pulled her legs ...
The inaugural Road Scholar Shalom Cuba program began on a blazing hot fall day in Miami, Florida. Stepping out of the airport was akin to stepping into an oven. In the end, Miami was the perfect setting to begin our journey to Cuba.
As the first People-to-People group to participate in the Shalom Cuba program, the group was kept small by design. Coincidentally, the entire group, save one person, was from California. The travelers included a couple from the Los ...
