Sympathisches Doubletree by Hilton, direkt gegenüber von Sawgrass Mills. Gratis Parken, Pool, gut ausgestattete Zimmer, alles bestens.
Die große Überraschung war das hoteleigene Restaurant - sehr empfehlenswert!

I have to write two entries so that my map pin moves back to DC...this is the first of the two :). During the time we were waiting to board our flight in San Jose, I took a trip to the ladies' room....typical tradition for most women who are traveling. While walking into the baņo, I was behind a woman who was wearing no shoes and no socks...walking into the bathroom. Yes, Alex...that is indeed something I'd never do. A public restroom ...

Cue 2 days of stressing over what needed to be shipped home. There will be no glamour on this tour as Del had to help me reduce the load. Also turns out aerosols or perfumes can't be shipped so the room maid is going to be in for a treat! Went to the new baseball ground with ...

... arrived at the trailhead a little before 9. We were very happy that we got there as early as we did, due to the fact that parking was already at a minimum. The trailhead starts at the White River campground and gradually ascends up towards the glacier basin. Mt. Rainier is home to 26 glaciers and we had phenomenal views of the Emmons glacier, which, according to the newspaper article, is the largest glacier in the lower 48! The hike started through an area of forest ...

... from the hostel, we were in a great location. I regretted not changing out of my flight attire of leggings and a tshirt almost immediately, it was just far too hot for clothes! The beach was incredible, miles and miles of white sand (although the sand was more like shingle, not the soft stuff we were used to in south America!) and multi coloured parasols as far as the eye could see. It was packed with people, even though it was early evening by this point. We had a ...
