We leave for New Zealand a week from today. Everything Buzz needs is neatly packed in a rolling duffel bag. Every summer garment I own is piled on the bed in the guest room as I try to decide what to take and what to leave! I need outfits, he just needs clothes! We have our camera, ipod, computer, gps ...
Hudson, New Hampshire, United States epbrody... early on. But between making gravy and well liked jello salad, I started feeling at home. :)
Friday - Movie with Matthew! Blind Side - if you haven't seen it, you should. Then the Domeny side came over for the second thanksgiving! More good food.
Then, I had a delightful suprise. There was a birthday party planned, VERY unexpected. It was so nice. We had a ice cream ...
It was a busy Birthday!
We got up and went to the only Starbucks in the area (Dunkin Donuts plays the role of the coffee shop that is on every corner out here -- you have to travel to get to Starbucks). We came back and got our Flu Shots (Happy Birthday!). We shopped a little and then Paul went to the barber (for the first time in about 10 years, given that he's been sleeping with his barber for most of that time).
After lunch, we drove to Manchester ...
... I did not have to wait in a frustrated mob of travelers and, instead, was able to simply go around them no questions asked. It was an amazing feeling, let me tell you, and one that does not come around often: the feeling of a smooth ride.
I paid the man who pushed my bag and thanked him profusely. He directed me back up to the check-in counter and wished me safe travels. I wished both him and the handicapped American a very pleasant evening, and I meant it.
Struggling ...
August 28th Friday- Up fairly early- I am still not getting the sleep I need. We talked and reminisced about the time I have spent here at Beckys and then I was packed up and off. I took stuff out and closed the door, Becky opened it to check something and Boston streaked by her and out the door so we had to do a cat rescue before I left. First stop was to get a tired aired up-It was looking squishy and is now better. Nuvi said I would be there by 6:30, but with one nap stop ...
Amherst, New Hampshire, United States teamccOK, we've booked our flights and ordered our visas, so the kids and I are definately going to India! We're all a bit excited and a bit nervous. The kids will miss lots of school, but we think it will be an experience of a life-time!
I'm hoping to document all our adventures on this blog, so check in often and wish us safe travels!!!!

This is an edited overview that KSW gave us:
I will be among 40 educators who will travel to Korea, July 8 – 22, 2009. We will begin our visit in Seoul with a formal reception attended by representatives from the Korea Foundation and officials from Yonsei University, who assist the Korea Foundation in coordinating the program. In the following days, the American educators will attend lectures and visit relevant sites to ...
... in Paris but caught on, two hours later. Unknown to me they don't put your check bagages on your new flight, so had to wait in Madrid for four hours. Good note it is a really nice day in Madrid, so enjoyed that. i must say that the French and the Spanish are really friendly even though I am butchering their language
Concord, Massachusetts, United States corr... at the (rather heavy) suitcase sitting in the middle of the room, I wish I could pick it up and leave already. It's said good things come to those who wait, but I'm tired of waiting... there's too much anticipation! So Rory's already in New Zealand, and it's Wednesday there; it's only Tuesday morning here. Time is such a strange thing. Everytime I tell somebody that I'll only be 6 hours behind, but 18 ahead ...
Nashua, New Hampshire, United States hick116... if you are found on the back Hana Highway. So it's a good idea to get a rental where there is no limitation as to where you can go and four wheel drive is definitely a plus. To ease the transition a 30 pack of Bud and some Maui Waui sounded like a great idea. After half a case we stumbled over to a local bar in Paia ...
