I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. We had a very short uphill section from our overnight stop to rejoin the delightful road which runs over the Cisa pass, and then we were on our way. There isn’t much to report from yesterday. It was basically a rest day that involved wandering around Morbegno’s streets as well as running a few personal errands.

Before we get started, I must introduce you to Francesco Fusello. He is a dear friend of Erin's from high school. He spent a year as a foreign exchange student in Goshen, Indiana where Erin went to school, swam with her on the swim team and lived with the Pagano family (one of Erin's best girl friends). He comes back to Indiana regularly ...

... girls on a girls weekend. We'd also planned to go out clubbing as we had booked a hostel for the night, but high heels and cobblestones, and girls without male representation late at night in a dodgy looking part of Milan really wasn't that ideal. So we cut our losses, somewhat disheartened by our first introduction to Milan, had a few glasses of wine at a local bar and retreated to bed. The next morning the sun was shining, the host of our hostel had YouTubed ...
