Great hotel - everyone so helpful and the bikes parked away safely. Fabulous rooms and so handy to Downtown, all attractions and Beale Street.

This hotel had decent conferencing space, however some of the conferencing space seemed a bit cramped. The rooms were nice overall, with great views of the city.

Another full day ahead of us. Today we are off to Tupelo, a visit to the house where Elvis was born and grew up in those first early years. The house is as totally unchanged from how it was back in the 30's some 80 years ago. Quite apt us being here in 2017 as its the 40th anniversary this year. 90 miles and some 2 hours travelling time from …

A week in now and we wake on the first morning in Memphis, its a funny place. They say it is the same size as Nashville but it feels so much smaller. The whole of the downtown area for example only has one yes one shop. A few bars and restaurant's maybe 20 or 30 but only one shop, Scweb's its called, it sells everything and everything it sells is …

Including the seats on the bus , me, Julie and the floor. Everything is covered is bloody Glitter. It is falling off her top quicker than Bryan, Guy and I could get trying to get drunk at a …

An interesting start to our stay in Memphis, pulled over by an extremely large African American Policeman as we drove down a one way street the wrong way. Lights and siren blaring. He was very understanding and did not book us. We then stumbled across The Historic First Baptist Beale Choir performing their Christmas Concert. They invited us into their church, we were the ...

... low, seems to have a problem with mosquitoes. DAY 9--Graceland was on the agenda for today. It was different from what we expected, not as elaborate or outrageous. It was a two-story "mansion" with LR, DR, kitchen, family room, and Vernon Presley's bedroom on the main floor, a TV room and pool room in the basement, an added-on Jungle Room, furnished with animal furnishings and décor, and bedrooms upstairs (not open to the ...
