300 North 2nd Street, (former Wyndham Garden Hotel) Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, 38105, 901-525-1800
After hanging out on Beale street the night before and being uneasy with our current hotel surroundings we decided to switch hotels for our second night in Memphis. We called around and reserved a decently priced higher end Hotel. At this point it was 10:30am and check out was at 11. We packed, cleaned up and loaded the car. When we went in the lobby to check out, we were greeted with a big shiny gold smile from the blonde girl the previous night! Awesome, you just don't get to see that kind ...

Teaneck, Tennessee, United States generationalequ... surprising things Greg and I noticed while looking at a cemetery outside one of the original churches, was that, in this part of the country, people seemed to live much longer lives than was the norm in the 1800's. Many died in infancy, of course, but we saw that a majority of the headstones indicated years that calculated to 60, 70, or even 80 years of age! Guess those old mountain folks were made of tough stuff! It was a nice drive ...

I decide I want to watch that.

We try and head to Calhoun's for dinner, passing yet another car that has slid off the road, but it is mobbed. That is expected for the night before a game. I figure anything near the University will be packed so we eventually head over to the south side of the river. Of course that was after we drove through the revived old town area. I am glad to ...
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States psubrat93Hi, everyone,
Just want to say that the Riverstone Lodge in Townsend, Tn. is by far the very best place to stay in The Smoky Mountains. It is the closest Hotel / Lodge to Cades Cove which is just unbeleivable with its mountain views and all the wildlife (deer, black bear, wild turkeys ect...) also well maintained original cabins & churches from the1800's are spread out across the 11 mile journey. Mountains all around you. AHHH. The ...

Thanks for today Robert, you were a star and I really got a lot out of meeting with all the contacts you introduced me to.

Tennessee is full of motivated, honest and dedicated staff involved in all aspects of forensic science in this part of the State. they have invested time and resources to ensure that there is a continuity of training and development for their people and this appears to be paying dividens for them. Oak Ridge, Tennessee, United States biggsey... Galax, past Independence, we found the major source of Christmas trees in Virginia. We rode past many tree farms, rushing mountain streams, through rural Virginia where yet the trees had no leaves. There were horseback riding camps, many mobile homes, and rhododendron growing everywhere on the way to Damascus in Grayson County. The road through Jefferson National Forest was curvy with hair-raising switchbacks. Mount Rogers National Recreation Area ...
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States lstonehamToday Sam and I went to some second hand shops to do some looking around. I was hoping to find a really cheap sundress as I don't really have anything "nice" for the warm weather. I figured if I could find something for 5 bucks I'd be ok. Sam found some nice tops and a skirt at a steal. Brand ...
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States gratitude... around 3 hours. Continuing on, I made it most of the way to San Francisco that day, which was my goal. I was about 45 miles short of SF when I stopped at a small oasis village. There was a gas station, a hotel and two restaurants. Talk about tiny! :-) I got a room, got a meal and collapsed into bed. Day 1 -- Covered about ~300 miles I got up the next morning and drove through the rest of of northern California and into Oregon. The mountains ...
