Goodbye Wuthering Heights, hello Coronation Street
Stopped off at Hazel and John's house to say a 'goodbye', and were treated one last time to 'toad in the hole' (sausages and Yorkshire puddings), with gravy and salad...
we have been spoilt rotten by Hazel and Johns hospitality.
We have had a lovely time in Stokesley, catching up with family, and exploring the area.

Moving on to Manchester
This morning I woke up at 6.30am (I think because I'm used to Emma waking up then) and Emma was still asleep. Matt gave her a change and I fed her. I put her back into bed at 7.00am and I woke up at 8.30am and she was still asleep. I knew she needed to have some breakfast so I got up and boiled the jug to make her food and she woke up a few minutes …
Trip to the Trafford Centre
I woke up at 6.30am and got Emma up for a change and feed, then put her back to bed. She woke up again just before 8.00am. I got in the shower while Matt gave Emma her breakfast then I dried my hair and we went to the Club Lounge for breakfast. Emma enjoyed a finger of toast while Matt and I ate.
We got back to the room and Matt and …
First Hard Rock as a married couple
This was our first Hard Rock as a married couple. We made the trip up to Manchester from London just to get away for a while. We waited for almost an hour to get a seat but it was good to wait. We had our standard Jumbo Combo mix plus drinks and a sundae to top it off. Had a nice waiter who gave us two glasses on the house to celebrate our wedding. Thank you Hard Rock.
English Intrigue: Day 1

Yesterday we made the trip across the Irish Sea into Manchester, and much to our delight, there was a Manchester United vs. Manchester City soccer match. We were able to get into a local establishment and see how worked up the …

TravelPod Member ReviewsCrowne Plaza Hotel Manchester City Centre
jut stayed one night and flew out early the next day.The accommodation was fine- we ate 2 meals at the restaurant, not great service and the food was not all that memorable. Great location though and the shuttle service to the airport was extremely helpful.

Can't argue with the location of the hotel. We stayed in a room with a broken shower door which the hotel acknowledged and comped us with a bottle of Champagne.
It was a bit loud outside, but we were on the 7th floor and couldn't escape the noise at 3am outside, but it was the city centre.
The breakfast was fantastic. It was only an extra tenner for a full English breakfast buffet along with cereals, fruit, and pastries for the two of us.
