Day 22 - Gatlingburg - Tennessee
Oh my it really is hillbilly country here and the flag flies proudly. Today I headed to Dollywood. I think Dolly is fantastic so don't want to say anything too bad, but the word lame continually sprung to mind. Doesn't mean I didn't giggle all day long, but alas it was more at rather than with. One last stop before I bid Kentucky farewell and that was at Daniel Boone National Forest to see the Cumberland Falls. In 1775 Daniel Boone led a group of men through the Cumberland Gap (a pass between the Appalachian Mountains) to widen the pass in order to make settlement into Kentucky and Tennessee easier.
