Blanchardstown Centre Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, 00-3531-8628877

Suffering heavily from jet lag, we managed to make it to Dublin City Center where we rang in the New Year. Of course, the next day was spent in bed. For the next following days, we explored Dublin and all the sights it had to offer. Unfortunately we had to depart our 4 star Crowne Plaza Hotel and arrived at the hostel for orientation. There, we met some people who have alread...

... classes and choir rehearsals. It was a lot of fun, and I met some really great people…and had some really delicious food! Including crepes! While I arrived on Monday night, I was also set to leave on Thursday morning; so my visit was rather short. I was sad to leave, but also incredibly excited!

Before saying good-bye to Boston, I noticed that my flashy, red suitcase had been ripped on its journey. By ripped, I mean that the zipper and its counterpart were no ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland the_dubliners... allowed on it so it is all foot traffic. We did not linger around too long, as the crowd was overwhelming for me and I just had to look straight ahead pick a path and hope that I would not bump into anybody. At the end of Grafton Street is St.Stephen's Green which is a beautiful Park that is a well kept garden. It is a sanctuary in the middle of a bustling city that is quiet and peacful. We sat for a while on one of the benches and just people ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland rachaelandtrish... low-end or hi-end. I have never seen as many menus that had one side listing burgers and the other side listing pastas.....This is an island caught, literally between two worlds, America and Europe and Irish culture is paying a dear price.

Globalization sucks too, shopping for real Irish momentos is pretty much impossible...The good shops here are pretty much the same we have at home or Vancouver or Seattle...GAP, Lush, American Outfitters...Something ...

Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland wichitap2p... and he's a little ways behind a person or two, and he's obviously thirsty. Ha. Longing for his beverage ... I catch his eye, turn around, and retrieve his cider, turn back, and I hand it to him. "Really, really ... thank you, girls." And what do you know ... a little bit of politeness goes a long way ... his friend goes to order another round, "Aye, aye ... and two pints of Guiness !!" Two pints of Guinness, sir? But you ...

Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland tigo2... minded than I gave myself credit for. During the tour the guide selected three guys and three gals for the "whiskey tasting test". Getting the gals was a little difficult; he had to ask three times. But just about every guy there raised his had to volunteer. I had my clover hat on and a big smile so he must have sensed the blarney in me and I was one of the lucky ones chosen. After the tour we went to the bar and they sat the taste testers around a mat with 5 shots on ...

Predicted highlights: Trekking the Great Wall of China, taking a cruise on the Li River, spending the night on a boat in Ha Long Bay, visiting an orphanage in Phnomh Penh, walking through the Khmer monuments and temples in Angkor Wat, spending Christmas and New Year in ?!? Dublin, Ireland liciadventure... way to the bed and Breakfast which was about 10 minutes out of the centre. Clontarf, a suburb on the beach. Another pub dinner after a long walk along the sea, no music here but cricket on TV. The Bed and Breakfast was excellent despite the fact it was the cheapest we could find. The lady told us by being just a bit cheaper she was always full. We were so lucky. She only had 4 rooms and the other guest were also very nice. Getting a bit sick of all the sight ...
