Brian, Graham, Kk and I departed Logan Airport on December 30 and could not await our arrival in Dublin for New Years. Suffering heavily from jet lag, we managed to make it to Dublin City Center where we rang in the New Year. Of course, the next day was spent in bed. For the next following days, we explored Dublin and all the sights it had to offer. Unfortunately we had to depart our 4 star Crowne Plaza Hotel and arrived at the hostel for orientation. There, we met some people who have alread...

July 2nd Dublin – Day 3: "Hello. I'm JonesInMyBones and I’m a History Dork!"
As exciting as it was to buy that new alarm clock, it went untested this morning. I found that keeping the window closed quickly resulted in an overly stuffy room. But, I found that leaving the window open required me to also leave open the heavy, light-blocking drapes in order to gain any benefit from the movement of air. Once again, breathing won out, thus the early morning light ...
... However, it was in the ideal location on O’Connell Street where we could literally walk out of door into the hustle and bustle of the quirky town of Dublin. Also, it was still ten times better than the majority of the hotels that I stayed in pre-mom on my adventure.
Although quite tired, my mom and I decided to explore the city a bit. Directly outside our front door, there was the Spire of Dublin, more formally called ...
... We didn't get to bed until 1:30 in the morning.
Tuesday morning we finished packing up all our things in the cabin and then went to breakfast and devotions. The ship was planning to leave at 11am and the crew had to do some prep work so we though we'd leave at 9:00, drop our luggage off at the hostel, and return to watch the ship leave at 11:00 since most of our day would be spent on the south side of the river anyways. We found the Wests to say ...
... them sharing about their experience and praying for them. I left after about an hour and a half cuz I was still tired from our travels and I heard those meeting sometimes go on for several hours!
Friday morning breakfast was at 7am and devotions were at 7:45 (which is the morning schedule on most days). Devotions are in the Logos Lounge and go for about 45 minutes usually. A local Irish guy talked for it and told us how he had been saved the ...
... in 10 minutes time turn the appartment into a warzone again. : D Then this week.. don't know, not too much. I've just been enjoying the boys and appartment fully, I feel so amazingly priviliged to be able to live here still even if it is just temporarily (again). I just love waking up in the morning and chatting to Will while coming alive, I love Steves constant questioning "if I have eaten anything" and I love them making a huge mess and me cleaning it up, I love ...

Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland johnchels... the rivers and swimming in the natural springs. From the isolation of the rainforest we'll take a 3 hour bus trip to one of the most modern cities in the world, Kuala Lumpur. With many sights to see including Independence Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad building, the National Mosque, the National Museum, the Lake Gardens and Chinatown, we'll probably spend a few nights here. We'll also visit the Golden Triangle area of the city home to ...
Dublin, Ireland staffyandlyddy... and that the restaurant served at lunch today. It has no yeast and only (or mostly) whole grains. It is dense, sweet (naturally--no added sugar), and incredibly tasty. After eating only white bread for three weeks, the wheat is such a welcome taste. We don't eat white bread at home unless it's a baguette and that is rarely. So we have eaten one loaf of this bread (and we are almost done with loaf two)--it makes incredible toast especially paired with ...
