... up front on the LAX - SYD portion. With almost 14 hours of flying just from the West coast, you would feel the same way too!

If everything goes OK, we should be landing in SYD at 840AM on the morning of Friday, Nov. 20th.

We are all excited about our first trip DOWN UNDER! Vegemite for everyone!
Atlanta, Georgia, United States lisabeth.kay... a Publix turkey sub, with just a little lettuce... just like I used to order. Neither purchases disappointed. :) Sadly, this was the end of my happy time in Atlanta.

The next morning, I awoke to find that we were thoroughly entrenched in the bands of Tropical Storm Ida. Rain and wind, however, soon became the least of my worries. When we were done with load in, one of my actors came up to me and through garbled speech said "So, what are we going to do about the ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States tourdev... a 3 level, 3 story high ropes adventure course that you climb all over whilst attached to a harness and overhead pulley system. You have to balance on beams and climb on and through ropes all high above the ground. It was a total adrenaline rush, we were amazed by the tiny kids doing it! It took us over an hour to get the whole course done.

Fortunately while we visited the ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States bekandjesse... goes the national motto of India. Or as Buddha put it "Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth." Truth is, I can't say that India 'changed' me in any in profound spiritual way. I didn't 'meet my guru', join a weird cult or even get converted by a Christian missionary but the experiences I had there did reinforce my relationship with the Everpresence (aka 'God ...
Atlanta, United States yogigWe got up, had breakfast at the hotel and drove to PDX to turn in the rental car. We had driven over 1500 miles in eight days. We got in line to go through security and I got separated from Dennis and Elizabeth. The TSA checked my bag and confiscated my jar of Huckleberry Honey. They said ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States reneev7... them many a time to visit my favorite Techies in their Frat houses and at work...

This time walking around Atlanta, I couldn't feel these things at all; I felt like a stranger who had abandoned this city a decade ago, memories long lost.

It's not that I've been away for 2 years, but I also felt different because I was showing Atlanta to my boyfriend, therefore I felt more obligated to show him ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States erinkoval... seriously! I mean it! Buck and Shazia met us to welcome us back. I have to say it's nice to be back and sleeping in our bed again, but the "back to reality" thing ain't so great! I can't say that I'm over the top about going back to work tomorrow, but I'll head that way anyway! Gotta pay the bills and plan for the next vacation! :-) Enjoy the pictures...they were from our day in the park with the McGowans on Sunday afternoon and dinner by the lake afterwards.
Atlanta, Georgia, United States kimandjeff... with it now. He still needs to buy some other part that will enable him to burn it onto a DVD, but apparently this is doable. So we missed the meeting last Sunday because I was having one of those difficult days where my pain and fatigue issues were at a peak. However, we were able to call in and listen over the telephone line to our own Arcadia congregation! It's amazing how Jehovah knows just what we need and when. We were feeling so bad about ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States dn3aThe next stop on my southern tour is a quick couple of days in Atlanta, Georgia. I probably have been the most happy in Atlanta than of any other place I have lived since leaving Hawaii. I love Atlanta for a million reasons. Most importantly, it's where I took my first real steps into independence beyond the sheltering reach of family; it's were I took it there; and it's where I began exploring the endless possibilities that can exist between two complementing sols. I lived in Atlanta ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States cmasicampoAs we began preparations for the trip Round America, we established these 10 Rules of the Road: Rule #1 - See the real world. Stay off the interstate highways. Rule #2 - Eat pie. Eat where the locals eat. Avoid franchised restaurants. "Slow food" rather than fast food. Rule #3 - See the sights that others miss. Don't visit many theme ...
