So today was a roller coaster - lots of ups and downs. It started out great. We left Chicago and in 2 and a half hours or so, we were in Madison, Wisconsin. I was shocked by how much I loved Madison. It was such a nice place to stop and spend some time. We ate breakfast at an awesome little place called Mickie's. This morning, we helped Pam move some stuff to her sorority house where she is storing some things for the summer, and I got a tour of the house in the process! We then went out for breakfast at Madison Sourdough and dropped Pam back at her apartment and said our goodbyes.

We drove in to Madison to check it out and decided to park near the capitol building so that we could walk around some. We ended up walking up and down State St. This was a cool street full of restaurants and small boutiques. We had a good time just checking everything out. We took Nash with us and by the end he was super thirsty and hot. We headed back to the RV only to find that we were parked in. We had pulled in to the last meter spot ...

... be out of the traffic left hand was starting to ache from controlling the clutch at low speed. Good practice indeed! At one point we just turned off our engines and pushed our bikes along slowly.

We've gone through Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and now we're in Madison, Wisconsin. There aren't any 'border crossings' as such and sometimes not even a sign to tell you you're in another state. It all merges and flows into ...
