    ... alley-ways mean you drive on the side of the road that is easiest for you to travel along. U-turns seem to be permitted if, and when the other drivers will let you do so.     ... yet again, in search of a camera for Greg. Bill had told us it was five minutes walk down the main road. Each person they asked (Bill had written out in where we wanted to go in Chinese) kept pointing further along the street. Almost 1/2 hour later the last request pointed to the building behind us.     Tonight i treated myself to what I love to have in China. A foot massage! Nothing takes the aches of 4 kilometres trudging through a shipyard than an 80-minute massage for under $15.

    TOMORROW: I head to Shanghai for a rest day.

    CHINA OBSERVATION: Cell phones in China must have very poor connections as everyone using them yells at the person at the other end of the line!

    Trip out of Shanghai today to Suzhou about 80 km from Shanghai. 36 degrees so thankful for the coach air con. Travelled along the industrial corridor linking the two cities which was interesting in its own right. Lots of high rise apartment blocks for the workers and factories galore.
