    Convenient and comfortable

The Crowne Plaza was a perfect place to overnight before a long flight.
The shuttle was available early and took us quickly right to our departure entrance for check in.
The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive, and the lunch and dinner we had was tasty and enjoyable.
The proximity to return our hire car was convenient.
We would recommend to other travellers.

The service and facilities of this hotel were adequate for an overnight stay. I was disappointed that the price of wifi was so extortionate - about $35 for access, and they didn't give a free half-hour as most places do, which would have been great so I could check in for my flight that evening. The room was comfortable and had a great window and a nice view of the runway. Room service was nice and efficient and the bath tub was great! Only other thing was that the air conditioning blew hot air regardless of the temperature setting. This is a big hotel and really exists as a transit stop before flying out. Don't bother using it for any other purpose as there are nicer hotels in the city.

    Last day in England

A travel blog entry by wendymoz on Jul 17, 2014

Drive today from Lincoln across the Pennines on the motorways to airport hotel. All the farm lands now drying out.
Leaving now just when the temperatures are climbing. Never thought I would be glad of air conditioning here in England.
Happy now to be heading home, but slightly apprehensive of getting in an aircraft with all the news dominated by the MAS tragedy.

... century English paintings, and some amazing Wedgwood and Chinese ceramics, we had a look at the church and a walk through the gardens, the roses still blooming - and even scented! And then of course a sit down and drink at the pub. We still had time for a last walk along the cycle track, and a last delicious dinner with Omnia. And even caught a new New Tricks episode!! Now off to bed and ready for new adventure ...

... Bury. As with the other towns, these churches date back over 1000 years. You can see some of the add-ons over the years, but the basic old Norman churches are still intact.

After so much disappointment earlier on our trip, it was emotionally pleasing to actually visit the churches of our ancestors – and to find some gravestones with relatives’ names on them – an incredible feeling. We also found names on ...

One of the benefits of living in a city or big town is that if you are feeling restless or bored it is easy to head downtown to enjoy the activity and energy of the many people that congregate there. There is always something new to experience or somewhere new to explore. On Saturday I set off for Manchester to look inside a couple of places that I had not had time to visit before.
The first of these was the Royal Exchange Theatre, which ...

    Thursday 17th July - Bollington

After returning the key & farewelling Sue & Ken we returned to Brockenhurst via a devious route. First to Little Moreton Hall, which unfortunately opened at 11 am, so we moved on to Sandbach, instead. Here were 2 Saxon crosses & a lively market in a lovely small town. After a coffee we returned to the hall which is a ...
