    Convenient and comfortable

The Crowne Plaza was a perfect place to overnight before a long flight.
The shuttle was available early and took us quickly right to our departure entrance for check in.
The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive, and the lunch and dinner we had was tasty and enjoyable.
The proximity to return our hire car was convenient.
We would recommend to other travellers.

The service and facilities of this hotel were adequate for an overnight stay. I was disappointed that the price of wifi was so extortionate - about $35 for access, and they didn't give a free half-hour as most places do, which would have been great so I could check in for my flight that evening. The room was comfortable and had a great window and a nice view of the runway. Room service was nice and efficient and the bath tub was great! Only other thing was that the air conditioning blew hot air regardless of the temperature setting. This is a big hotel and really exists as a transit stop before flying out. Don't bother using it for any other purpose as there are nicer hotels in the city.

    Last day in England

Drive today from Lincoln across the Pennines on the motorways to airport hotel. All the farm lands now drying out.
Leaving now just when the temperatures are climbing. Never thought I would be glad of air conditioning here in England.
Happy now to be heading home, but slightly apprehensive of getting in an aircraft with all the news dominated by the MAS tragedy.

... several festivals throughout the year.  Right passed Platt Fields I walk into Rushholme, otherwise known as The Curry Mile.  This is the most interesting section of my walk to class!  It is a full mile dedicated to residents from the Middle East and other locations.  This is a full mile filled with traditional dress shops, shisha cafes, and food ranging from Afghanistan to India.  The scent of curry is literally in the air, hence the name Curry Mile!  ...

They'll be providing me with a room, a bed, breakfast, lunch and most likely a shed-load of completely bamboozling, non-English conversation! The rest of the trip I'll keep secret for now... The backpack is packed and all that stands between me and beautiful South America is a MAMMOTH 36-hour journey. Which I'm sure is going to be just FAB! :-| Watch this ...

Bex then revealed that she had never been on a long haul flight before, she hadn't even been out of Europe! Luckily the fight went very quickly being treated with food, drink and 22 jump street but to our disappointment we both fell asleep when the FAB lolly Ices came around!!! This was a sad time. As Nat is a frequent long haul flyer, VIP treatment became ...
