    Convenient and comfortable

The Crowne Plaza was a perfect place to overnight before a long flight.
The shuttle was available early and took us quickly right to our departure entrance for check in.
The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive, and the lunch and dinner we had was tasty and enjoyable.
The proximity to return our hire car was convenient.
We would recommend to other travellers.

The service and facilities of this hotel were adequate for an overnight stay. I was disappointed that the price of wifi was so extortionate - about $35 for access, and they didn't give a free half-hour as most places do, which would have been great so I could check in for my flight that evening. The room was comfortable and had a great window and a nice view of the runway. Room service was nice and efficient and the bath tub was great! Only other thing was that the air conditioning blew hot air regardless of the temperature setting. This is a big hotel and really exists as a transit stop before flying out. Don't bother using it for any other purpose as there are nicer hotels in the city.

    Last day in England

Drive today from Lincoln across the Pennines on the motorways to airport hotel. All the farm lands now drying out.
Leaving now just when the temperatures are climbing. Never thought I would be glad of air conditioning here in England.
Happy now to be heading home, but slightly apprehensive of getting in an aircraft with all the news dominated by the MAS tragedy.

... s a beautiful day for a drive! We do most of the drive straight up the M1 but as we near traffic at a stand still we decide to take the A road. This is the England we have come to see. Beautiful green rolling hills sectioned by grey walls - making the perfect patchwork. Mr S stopped in at the Great Central Railway at Loughborough to see the station and found Mr S' first LMS carriage, which he told me was an Inspectors Saloon - he may or may not have 'whooped' out loud! We started off the day with another great English breakfast. What is great is that every place has a lot of veggie options so eggs, veggie sausage, grilled tomatoes and beans. Yum. Then we walked over to Harvard House which Harvard University now owns. No real connection to Shakespeare other than that the house is from that era and his parents and the owners of this house were friends. Then we well ...

I've never really been ill in my life so it was quite a worry to be so drained, loose so much weight and then have to deal with dizzy spells on a regular basis. The idea was to surprise the folks back home and get well again before deciding what to do next, maybe even travel around Europe (we were craving a bit of wine and cheese at the ...
