We did however get to take the Muni, a small train underground and across town nerve racking when you really have no perception of where you are heading but our concierge assured us it would be nice and simple and it was. Pier 39 is also a lovely area that has a British seaside feel to it. Why would anyone from Britain want to experience the British seaside, I hear you cry!? Think nostalgic seaside memories, with fish and chips, seagulls and sea lions. Okay, the last one you wouldn't find too often in Britain unless you headed to somewhere like Blakeney Point in Norfolk but this is a star attraction in San Fran.
