    ... is not unlike many other beach towns in Florida with the exception of the size of the boats. Fort Lauderdale is considered one of the yachting capitals of the world and for good reason. I have never seen so many huge boats and mega yachts. We were certainly one of the smallest boats in our marina and clearly the oldest.     Today we left Miami and land to hit the seas for a 2 week voyage around the Caribbean and Bahamas. Super exciting as this is our first time on a cruise and our boat 'Allure of the Seas" is the largest cruise liner in the world, supposedly.
