Today was a trip to a State Park about 1 hour's drive north of Coppell. Whilst most of the drive was along freeways we passed through farming country with horse ranches and cattle before entering the park. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has a 29000 acre reservoir supporting many water activities. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind kept it cool - about 16. Hawkins Family Summer Vacation--2014 style--is about to begin!

Practice was actually for Robbie's son Ethan, but he was out of town on a field trip with mom, Melisa, but Robbie was standing in as any good coach would and carrying on as normal. After practice, the four of us had dinner at a Mexican restaurant (readers will notice a trend starting here), and then back to camp.
