... from their place, but, alas, it was delayed another day because of weather.
We had a fun visit, and a good dinner at a little beach shack down the road a ways.
... about 8.30pm. So we took the bus once again out to the viewing area, some five miles across a bay from the launch pad. It was dark but we could see the rocket silhouetted by flood lights. We sat of bleachers with a few hundred other people, listening to interesting commentary from a NASA expert, waiting for the launch window to open and trying not to think about the birds and alligators between us and it. 7.43pm came and went. We checked in to our hotel, The Inn at Cocoa Beach and joined the other guests for wine and cheese. Our hotel is right on the beach, however, given the cold snap around at the moment, we will not be spending time there. We had dinner at the Shark Shack Grill, and I had a salad with seared tuna. Really happy to be making good food choices after all that amazing yet fattening Southern food. Tomorrow we will be visiting the Kennedy Space Centre.
