    ... area. We found a rooftop cafe to enjoy lunch and a few liquid refreshments. The atmosphere was enhanced by the soulful sound of traditional instruments played by a group of Chinese musicians playing not far from where we had lunch.     ... good and met the group this evening. 16 altogether from USA, Finland, Denmark, Australia Scotland and Ireland. Had meal together and now back at hotel for early night to try and catch up on some sleep. Busy day tomorrow! 3rd May Left hotel hotel this morning to visit Tienamen Square and Forbidden City.     ... we spend the rest of the day together. It was very nice to stroll around the old town and canals with someone. She was really nice but at the end of the day she jump in the bus to the train station and all I know of her is her name. That kind of encounters are very (hum how to say ...) ephemeral. But I really enjoyed not spending the day on my own (for once).
