We had a boat trip on the Grand Canal and visited another Scholar's garden within which I stick like glue to Mike for obvious reasons! ... out to be an English band, and a good one at that, so we enjoyed them.
The bar served good drinks and McDonald's food disguised as their own menu items (seriously).
We drank probably a bit too much considering we leave for Beijing at 7:15 tomorrow, but oh well.
Looking forward to tomorrow. but I will miss all my Chinese friends!

... on the event and it was more impressive than we could have imagined.
They had an English band, lots of stuff to eat, and a beautiful venue.
Before the certificates were distributed, they had a beautiful sand painting demonstration.
It was a great night.
Our bus stopped at McDonalds on the way home to the hotel and we had an early night.
Looking forward to our last day tomorrow.

... some of the pagodas in the area have been retrofitted with elevators), we were literally overlooking the entire old town section of Suzhou. The bad news is the air quality was horrendous, over 200, and some of the worst JP and Carolina have seen since arriving in China a few months ago. Visibility suffered, and it actually burned my eyes. I could feel it a little bit in my lungs, too. This was my biggest concern about coming to China.

... there was little time to indulge in the pool so we returned to our room to get ready for our final dinner which was a buffet with all you can drink beer and wine! The dinner was lovely (but I could barely fit into my skinny jeans. Note to self....monitor beer and excessive food intake!) and exceeded our expectations, including fresh sushi, seafood, duck, cheeses and a multitude of yummy desserts.
