Crown Plaza Milwaukee Airport

We met at Les' house in Glendale to finish packing. We had a great dinner with some Chilean wine. Wow, tomorrow we will be leaving. I hope that I have a toothbrush. I needed practice posting a photo to this blog. We leave Milwaukee at 12:50 and have a short layover in Atlanta tomorrow. Pam

We had to get to the zoo by 7:00am to make sure that we got registered in enough time. We went over to the Peck Welcome Center for donuts and juice before we boarded the bus at 7:45. We left early so that we would have enough time to deal with traffic on the way to Chicago. We got held up right by 84th street on 894. We exited the freeway and took 76th street south to the Racine boarder. This was much better. The rest of the way there was not too much traffic. We stopped at the oasis for a Aunt Annies Pretzel before the show.

This will be a quick post simply because I am looking back on the situation. I was such a mix of emotions before I left for peace corps. It took about a year for my application to be submitted and approved and for everything to be okayed for service. I was working at a job that I didn't really care for but I really liked the people I worked with. So I was ready to go. Often times I would get frustrated because I felt as if I was wasting a year. ... The burger was good but the fries and custard are outstanding. Definitely worth the walk to get some. I say walk even after the huge gut bomb I enjoyed for dinner. I have tried two flavors of custard so far, tiramisu and rum and coke. Both were very tasty and enjoyable. I am thinking I need to stop in at Kopp's one more time on the way to the airport. Tomorrow's flavors of the day are cookies and cream and cherry cheese cake. Can I get a 1 of each?????

In a few short weeks I will be flying to Sunny San Diego to join the ranks of the ms Oosterdam crew for my Spring Break week. This will be my first contract on a vista class ship - with around 300 kids on board most likely. We will be cruising a day at sea, then a day ...

... for Denver where there's a 45 minute layover just in time to meet Mike and then hop on the plane to San Fransisco. We get in at 11:30 PM, then it is off to a hotel that's pretty near the airport to get some sleep before we head back to the airport around nine or a little bit before nine. Oh well, 42 days will start when we leave tomorrow as we head on in for round two of this project.
