Kwabi Nebo looked so smart all dressed up and was excited to show me his special school shoes, which were just sandals but they were thongs or go barefoot every other day so it’s very special for him. ... with are great, it's amazing how quickly they become your new family! At the moment I'm in a tro on our way to Cape Coast for the Easter long weekend. Can't wait! I want to share my photos and stories from our afternoon at the beach but I'm unable to get my photos from camera at the moment so hopefully I'll get that sorted and I can share it with you all- the beach has some very strange customs to abide by also! ... un complexe résidentiel ou plusieurs des familles de LCS ont élu domicile, le Villagio. Pour la modique somme de 25 GhC, Etienne s'était inscrit. Kiyo, elle, a décidé de faire l'impasse. C'est moi qui est de service. Le complexe du Villagio est superbe. Ça ressemble à un resort 5 étoiles de Cuba, avec une grande piscine et des palmiers, un bar et une aire de jeu. ... t think. Justy prepared an early diner for me consisting of...some yams, plantains, beans. I went to bed early at around 8pm looking forward to a hard post flight sleep. Didn't really happen. I kept waking up every 2 hours needing to go the bathroom, but then I couldn't really go. Close living quarters made it impossible to do this quietly. Oh, and the water is only on for a few days a week so the toilet couldn't be flushed...even one time when it really needed to ...

... because that is the number of voodoo spirits there are. In our travels, we even participated in a couple of voodoo ceremonies, which included, among other things, being witness to whirling haystacks causing plants to grow underneath them, and to drinking fire alcohol to help protect us from bad spirits (we liked that part best...!) I wasn't so sure about watching a goat and chickens having their throats cut and their blood spilled on the fetish gods ...
