St. Paul's Bay, Island of Malta, Malta
... We sat out on our balcony which looked upon the walls of the city and the quay. Bustling horse and carriages trotted smartly back and forth. The road going up the hill is steep, but these horses are strong and fit, pulling with little effort. They really fly.
We boarded our bus with no security issues( like aforementioned places) and started our tour. I know nothing of Malta, other than ...
I've just popped over to Malta for a day & a bit (as you do!) to say a quick hello / goodbye to my parents (and bring them lots of goodies over for the last time in a while).
The weather is a little warmer than the UK, but not as warm as it's going to be in a week's time (ha ha ha).
Anyway, I'll keep this blog short so ciao for now!

... and was going to be towed. Had difficulty trying to communicate that we were sailing on a cruise - so when we return to Italy we may be maxed out in fines on the visa card and have to beg our way home!!!
We were certainly glad we did the cruises in the order we did, The Costa Pacific is only four months old, thus is new and gleaming. It has glass lifts in the in middle which ascend 12 stories all the way up to the retractable glass roof ...
... oasis of greenery that looks over a view to the island’s waterfront. She tells us we have a fifteen minute break, but when the time is up I don’t see her return. Mom is the only one of us who hears her say that we are to meet at “San Francisco” a narrow street that runs up a steep hill like those in San Francisco.
We follow her into the St. James Co-Cathedral and she hands out personal amplifiers to ...
... It should do well. They've also got Thailand's M-150 which, last I heard, was banned everywhere due to its ingredients, so who knows? The Labor Party here seems to have the best pubs. I guess they learned something from the British. The Chinese here still have no major presence, their food mostly being the high-price delicacy it still is in most parts of northern Europe. For a minute I thought I'd found a genuine Chinese fast-food 'takee ...
Valletta, Island of Malta, Malta hardiek... zzal arrébb.
St Julians, Malta viskiki... we're both 100% sure we want to go if we can, hope they can get enough people. There'll definitely be room for Richard and Linda now with Tangier Tour but we don't want to say anything until the HAL shorex is confirmed. Another fun dinner swapping port stories. All go to the show together. Very funny guy called David Copperfield. No, not that one. This guy's English and extremely ...
Valetta, Malta aussiepanda... for the wonderful comments many of you have sent to me about it. Those comments are what gave me the push and the inspiration to write something each day, and now I have a detailed and insightful log of my travels. Something I will cherish for all my days remaining. I look forward to seeing you all very soon. Take care and if you get the opportunity, share an extra bit of love with your families and loved ones today, it will make today a better today for both you and them! :) Love, Andrew
St Paul's Bay, Malta andrew.galea... of 'The Maze' a very fitting name for the book of the road in Malta. Finding the house was not going to be easy, as we'd had only a dodgy mobile phone photo of a page from the Maze, and a street map with only a few of the hundreds of streets in Birkirkara. Not to mention street name signs are rare in Malta too! Anyway, he hopped off the lovely old bus somewhere near the old train station, so I knew we were in the right area. After a short time we found Triq il-Kbira,a main ...
Birkirkara, Malta stevea... the Maltese Islands. Their fortifications in Valetta had fended off numerous Turkish attacks but had fallen without a fight to Napoleon in the 19th century. Then, when the Maltese revolted against the pillaging French soldiers, the British came to the rescue and claimed the island as a colony. The relationship between the British and the Maltese was relatively stable and to this day the Maltese population of 400,000 welcomes 450,000 British tourists each year ...
