I got to the Airport and It was amazing big and busy. I went to the other side of the Airport to catch a taxi on my way to my hotel. I got to the hotel and It was very tall and nice. I really like the hotel and I went to get the key for my room and went to the 2nd floor. I opened my door and my mouth fell open it was fantastic. The first day I went …

Australia, the only place in the world where the homeless give you **** in the street. Fremantle's wide streets are lined with colonial hotels turned trendy wine bars. Gone are the days of travelling with just a backpack ...

... lunch. What actually happened was that we looked in a few shops, grabbed a Pizza Hut and then stopped in a pub for a pint which is where we remained for the rest of the afternoon despite the fact that it was $11-$12 a pint! (This is not an expensive pub, this is standard prices.) On Thursday we went to see an old friend of mine that I used to work with back home who has since moved back to oz. it was surreal because I remember ...

... detail Janine went into when describing some of the punishments was enough to turn your stomach. Most of the prisoners could only last up to 15 lashes at any one sitting so would have to keep returning to the post when their wounds were healing to go over again!! The tour finished with a visit to the gallows which was quite a strange room to be in knowing it had been used for executions. It was creepy! It was a really interesting experience visiting the prison, unbelievable to ...
