My major realization this time is how much America impacts the world. I mean, most people here watch American tv shows like Modern Family and Orange is the New Black. Most of the music listened to is from American musician and bands. In my ...

... and lots of legroom. Landed in Dubai soon after 7am local time, making it the middle of the night back home. Dubai airport was as impressive as we had imagined - cascading artificial waterfalls were a fitting backdrop for the elevators... We shared a meal at Jack's bar (all filled with Jack Daniels whiskey and similarly themed drinks, merchandise and meals). The 3 hour layover time was more than enough, and we sat waiting for ...

And the Tiges hold it together all game, never losing the lead. It's a miracle. Not until the Dockers fans start leaving with 15mins to go do we relax and start to celebrate. We even get to tap the hand of their star player as they do the victory lap.

    ... relax.

Tom also cooked me a ‘Pad Thai’ to die for. It was the nicest I had ever had so if that is a taste of things to come I look forward to Tom cooking again.

Another bonus was the swimming pool in the complex which I made use of each day to try and keep in reasonable nick. After just 2 weeks off it was a struggle to re-start but after a weeks exercises in Perth I am back to normal.
