... dropped our bags and headed to Chinatown. It was pretty close to the hotel but it was late so most of it was closed. The area we went too in Chinatown was more where locals eat - I didn't love the food as much as I thought I would but boy was it cheap. Two large litre bottles of beer and 3 dishes of fried rice, oyster lettuce and chilli chicken. Super cheap at 35 Singapore dollars not bad. ... in green and hit the town! We went to a bar (a bloody English bar) called the Elephant and Wheelbarrow. It was a cracking night and it was fun to actually celebrate it with Irish people for once, Jess was well going for it! Top o' dee arvo to ya! Over the next few weeks all the goodbye's started to come! Charlie and Fielder were off up the East Coast so we had to make sure they went out with a bang! ... effigies of mythical figures Gog and Magog and a clock which chimes each hour. There was also Haighs chocolates all decked out ready for Easter with huge Easter eggs. We could have gone to the Chocolart shop but not being chocolate lovers it wasn't on the just do list. I did buy some honeycomb, just because, from a lolly shop, but the sweetness makes my teeth chatter. By now it was lunch time so as all the little cafés were filling with the business people.
