... rather charmless city. Before I left I was in for one last treat from the hostel. They were able to sell me the (Expensive) boat ticket I needed to get to Pulau Perhentian for just 60RM rather than the 70RM that literally everywhere else was charging. I've got no idea how they were able to do so, but it seemed to be legitimate. All I know is if I hadn't stayed there and slept on the streets it would probably have cost me more money!
