We are in Gyeongju to visit the Bulguksa temple, one of the oldest temple in Korea and an UNESCO destination. It was very nicely restored to approximately the original in the 70s. Actually, the train arrived in Daegu at 9:06am. This made our taxi ride from the train station to the bus loading area - just outside of a hospital - take until 9:25am. Wait... we actually made it. Five minutes to spare.

... and imagine.

So, it is now my resolve to love each time my train of thought is interrupted by a child wielding his imaginary sword or undoing my hair for a fresh styling by tiny fingers. Children are meant to be happy and imaginative. This is universal. And if I have learned nothing else from my time in Korea, well... then I will be a better teacher when I return to the states, and hopefully someday a better parent for all of this.

... rough! I left Haeinsa at 9.45 feeling grubby and totally knackered from lack of sleep so was ready to get on the bus and head to my next stop, Daegu. To be honest I hadn't originally planned to stop in Daegu. I wanted to stay in Andong and visit the Hahoe village but the few hotels there were all booked so I opted for Daegu which isn't too far away. I planned to go to Andong on a day trip today but I'm just too tired so am going to forego that and explore Daegu ...
