Made the 5-hour bus trip down to Gallipoli, where it was absolutely freezing, to pay our respects a few days prior to the masses arriving for Anzac Day. Collected at 6.30 for the transfer to the bus station for the coach ride to Ecerbat on the Gallipoli Peninsula. 5 hr ride on a bus, but very comfortable - the Turks have a sweet bus system, where there are waiters that bring you drinks and cakes during the trip, while generally wearing a bow-tie. CANAKKALE: Day 4: It was an early morning bus ride to Gallipoli, which took about 6 hrs.
